They both looked like better prospects going into the draft. Every scouting service said so. We reached for a guy who cannot defend anyone and now seems to have anxiety issues on the offensive end. He is miserable.

I'll admit that I was bummed we got Olynyk over Schroeder. But then Schroeder managed to play so well that he got sent to the D-League, and I like Smart as a prospect better, anyway.

We would need a whole lot more than a top 3 pick to get an Anthony Davis type player, there isn't anyone even close this year

Wanted him to draft Giannis but Olynyk was a good pick and the fact that you think he should've taken Schroeder over Olynyk is nothing short of asinine. A year and a half ago it made no sense to draft a guy whose ceiling was said to be that of a player we already had/have.

If every executive got fired for not picking the consensus best player (determined years down the line, of course) within 2 selections of the pick he/she has, you'd be seeing half of the league's GMs exit every year.
