I put this one on the coach.  Overdoing it with the subs in the game late in the 4th.  You can't just bring KO back for one offensive possession after sitting for a couple minutes.  Sully sat too long, Rondo didn't come back in soon enough... just terrible.

I'm starting to miss Doc. Not just for the plays he draws up but for his substitution patterns, bad as they were. The players got out of rhythm and they lost their momentum.

How about putting Rondo on The Queen? Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.???

Rondo will never, ever win that match up, that was dumb!!!

I don't miss Doc.  thought he was totally overrated but have to admit I was hoping BS was going to channel him for one of the after-TO plays that Doc came up with that usually worked

2 things the Celtics should never do when they need a shot-

1. don't have Rondo take a jumper
2. don't have AB dribble the ball

These things are happening way to much, when do these morons realize that KO and Sully are the best scorers on the team?? ::)

For some reason it seemed that Doc always drew up the correct out-of-timeout plays during the course of the game, but when it came down to a final possession, he went the PP iso 90%+ of the time.  I guess even that would have been better than the result tonight.

Attack the basket ...relentless ....make the refs call the fouls.

Yeah.....I'm not sure the strategy of Stevens and Danny .......it appears that team shared playing time .....is very important vs ...riding two or three players all game ...like the Heat did with Wade , Bron and Bosh .....or Pierce KG Allen

I think if you really want to win ....and it's your only goal......you leave in KO , Sully , Rondo and Green till they foul out .

If winning is everything ...ride the horses till they drop.

How do you guys think that Turner played tonight?  I liked what he did out there, and 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists in 26 minutes off the bench is nothing to turn your nose up at.  Even though we lost, I loved our assist total of 34, especially to 14 turnovers, and no one committed more than 3 of them, so that's a definite improvement.  I'll take what I can get at this point.  Btw, I love how Joe Harris is getting calls as a rookie (sarcasm).  Wow :o

Doc did that multiple times. I think it's not just becasue of the "X-factor"; I think it's also because of the idea of Rondo's intelligence. He got beat (which anyone would have been, even Bradley or Green), but he foulded early and didn't allow LeBron to get a shot off. That is just as valuable as the 5% higher chance that LeBron doesn't get by the another defender.

Bizarre lineups in the fourth quarter.
I have no idea what Stevens was thinking.

Turner had his moments but wasn't thrilled with his 4th quarter performance.

Ugh why didn't Rondo attack the basket? We should have forced someone else to beat us whenKyrie went off get it out of his freakin hands. Was Zeller in there didn't see him in crunch time when he was doing a good job protecting the paint and offensively this one hurt smh

doc would have never put rondo on lebron with the game on the line. That's just stupid coaching right there along with

- not running play for KO and then icing him late in the game
- Sully sitting out a huge chunk of the 4th
- Rondo in iso to end the game

We've seen Rondo do well against Lebron in the past, tying him up on a jump ball in Miami in the playoffs, and pressing against him in the last game that our team with Perk played against the Heat in 2011.  No, it won't always work, nor should it ever, which is a testament to Rondo, imo, but after seeing all of the boneheaded fouls from Bradley and Thornton, I didn't mind it.  Captain vs. Captain, and Rondo prevented a 3-point play opportunity.  No one is talking about the fact that Lebron missed another critical free throw, btw.  I know they won, but come on.  I thought he was past all of that now (sarcasm) ;D.

Edit - I wonder if Smart would have made the same mental errors that Bradley and Thornton kept making.  Meh, it doesn't matter.  Even he was on the opposite side of the court from where the action was taking place, he still would have been screwed by the officials.  Sigh.
