I think he can help some of our younger players, especially KO and Sully learn some of the finer points of big man defense and his intensity and attitude is something that this team misses.
Yes, if:1. We move Zeller in a deal for a #1C2. Perk is satisfied with 10-12 minutes per game3. It is a 1-yr contract with a team option for year 2 at about $3M perI think he can help some of our younger players, especially KO and Sully learn some of the finer points of big man defense and his intensity and attitude is something that this team misses.
Sure, we could use a big man coach.
My first thought is that if Perk comes back and we don't make any other significant changes to the roster then we're still aiming for ~30 wins.
Perkins was perfect for the big 3. Hard worker, intimidator. But he is not useful when you don't have stars who will account for offense. Perk is a blackhole on offense. You can't have the luxury to play 4 on 5 on offense, when you don't have stars. As a bench big he can be useful though.

However, Rondo plays very well with Center who lurk around the basket waiting for the easy slam. He made 38 year old Shaq look like a near all star and also made Perkins look pretty good in his time here.
