Based on this it says Rondo wanted to take it out during the All-Star break. So what happened that made him, or Ainge change his mind? It was undoubtedly related to his play against the Pacers, getting yanked after a horrible turnover and not getting back in until 3 minutes to go in the 4th.
Either Rondo was disgusted with himself and is using the screw getting removed/soreness as his excuse for his sloppy play, or Ainge/Stevens is disgusted with his sloppy play and is hoping this is the reason.
Either way, the screw is getting removed far ahead of schedule, and it was determined right after the Pacers game, a game that Phil Pressy, our 3rd string PG, won for us. To try to claim the Pacers game is unrelated to this decision just means you aren't looking deep enough, or your tin foil hat isn't on tight enough.
The article says that the decision was made at halftime, so this would be evidence that it was not related to his second-half play against the Pacers, unless you are claiming that Rondo is a liar.
Yes, exactly. If you read my post I clearly state that I don't believe Rondo or Ainge (at least, I dont believe EVERYTHING) when they speak to the media, because they are only saying things to keep the fans on their side.
Did you once stop and ask yourself "OK... Why does Rondo feel like he NEEDS to tell us that the decision was made during halftime of the Pacers game?"
Hmmmm, I can't possibly think of 1 reason why Rondo would feel like he would have to point that out? Oh, it just dawned on me. All of the evens that actually lead to the decision happened in the 2nd half of the Pacers game.
The x-rays and the discussions between Ainge and Rondo about the discomfort he was experiencing happened in the second half of the game? Was it during a time out, or was Rondo benched for the check-up?
No, you see, they actually decided to pull them at the end of the Pacers game just because Rondo was mad about not playing, but then, despite explicit insubordination by the team captain and upcoming free agent, Rondo, Ainge, Stevens, and presumably the team doctors all decided to lie about it and pretend they decided it at halftime because of "soreness" and "X-ray evidence" or some other highly unlikely mumbo-jumbo. I guess we're supposed to believe this "soreness" was why Rondo didn't play as much too lol.
It's a pretty brilliant plan, but painfully obvious for those with the keen insight to see it. I think a lot of people are just jealous that they aren't able to see past the lies with such clarity.
