Thoughts?

Lol who would he be playing alongside with if he goes to La La Land...Kobe is becoming a year older. The rest of the Lakers look like scrubs at this point.

Of course he will, LeBron isn't committed any longer than this year either.

I'm sure he'll consider anything, but with how bad the Lakers have been and will continue to be this year I don't think he'll want to go there.

I'm just going to go ahead and call some bullEdited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. on this one. No way in hell that Love would choose that poo poo platter of a team, even if it is his hometown. That is, unless, they somehow get lucky and land a Gasol or something this summer.

If he leaves Cleveland again sans championship, the bridge won't just be burned, it would be flat out nuked, IMO.

I'd absolutely love to see K-Love leave the Cavaliers high and dry.

I seriously hope they won't have a "Big Three" of Kobe, Love, and Rondo next season.

Seriously considering the Lakers is not the same as them being the place he is most likely to end up.

I believe that Love doesn't have sort of secret agreement to re-sign with Cleveland.  I believe that he will give serious consideration to other destinations after opting out next summer.  The Cavs should be the front-runner, but Love will seriously consider other options and encourage competition for his services.

So Kevin Love is the 2nd big time free agent to be rumored to be heading to the Lakers.  Didn't see that one coming.  Bravo.

TP bet time:

Name the third big time free agent that will be rumored to be going to the Lakers this offseason.

Whoever is the first to guess the name (once the rumor comes out to check) I will give them 20 TPs.

REPORT: Love's agent wants to make sure max contract offered, floats random idea that he will go to the Lakers.

Right, but he will still "opt out" everyone is going to opt out that can, the value of a max contract is going up this summer.

That's all this "source" a/k/a Love's agent, is floating this for, to hold the Cav's feet to the fire.

I don't think Love has to worry about a max offer, though.  Seems like he's in that tier where everyone offering the max is a foregone conclusion.

Thirding that however plausible this is it'd be hilarious for Love to bail on Cleveland after one season, though.  Dude probably is sick of cold weather by now, at least.
