I think if we play any team with out a legit paint presence we can dominate them. What do y'all think?

not feasible as almost every championship team has at least some sort of serviceable center if not an all-star center or an all-star pf playing that center role.

I totally agree, I was just really drinking the koolaid after the first quarter. That second quarter was less koolaid and more boston harbor water.

We have a center, we just don't play him.
I would play Zeller over Bass.

If we could just get all the other teams to give their starting centers the night off...

Heck yeah ....we'd be sitting pretty

 ;)

This roster is just a mess. Pro-tanks and anti-tankers can all agree that no matter what direction you want the team to take, they should have a real center so the young guys can focus on their actual positions.

We have an actual center. Zeller. But we aren't going to decrease the minutes of Olynyk or Sully to give him minutes. If we were to get the mythical 'real' center everyone says we need, they will also probably sit on the bench, like Joel Anthony and Faverani last season. We aren't going to waste future resources for a short-term older competent starting caliber center.

Give Zeller the same minutes that Olynyk and Sullinger gets, and he would put up good numbers...5 minutes a game is a joke...

Zeller is unfortunately not very good either, as it turns out. He comes in, and I can't see any discernible difference in the team's ability to defend the paint.

Take Rondo, Bradley, Smart, Green, Olynyk, and Sullinger.  Add a solid center who can soak up the 25mpg going to Bass/Zeller and a MLE-level decent sixth-man-type wing who can split the 35mpg that Turner/Thornton are getting with Smart and this is a playoff team with upside.

When Zeller and Olynyk play together, they can defend the paint.
But we only did that for a few minutes during preseason.

This isn't really based in reality, though.

Nah. Our issues are not on the bench. Our issues come from the starting lineup not having enough talent.

after last night, I'd add that we also need to not turn the ball over.
