He has earned his minutes on the court. He looks to be playing with more patience and I find that odd tho effective being I always thought he played too slow. His only obvious weakness to date has been falling asleep on team D.

Jeff Green is Jeff Green.  He's basically been the same player for 6 years.  Expect more of the same.  He's not making a leap at this point in his career.

I would normally i agree with you. Can't be fooled again. But so far these first three games he has played the same way.  Maybe it's his added bulk, bc he is due for a a new contract, or he is tired of being laughed at or a combination of these things.

He and Avery are very good friends and these guys maybe are tired of being mediocre and turning it up a notch.

I hope he can keep it up.

Bingo.  That's my theory, at least.  He'll come back to earth soon, don't worry ;D.

I don't really get what you guys are talking about.  He scored 17 points his first two games (his average last season) and shot 40% and 36%.  Same ol Jeff Green.  I like him.  Nice complimentary player.  I've been a fan of him since his years in Seattle/OKC... .and he's always been the same guy.  The only thing that changes is his role.   There's post by me from like 2009 where I mentioned, "I like Jeff Green... I'm pretty sure he could average 17-19 inefficient points on a bad team"... and here we are.  He's 28 years old.  He's like a slightly lesser version of Rudy Gay.   Waiting for Jeff Green to make a leap at this point in his career is similar to waiting for Rondo to develop into a good shooter.  Not happening.

Right, but he had 9 free throw attempts on opening night, which is an excellent indicator of aggression.  Was that a career high, btw, lol? ;D  No, he's not going to change, as he'll show flashes every now and again, but it is odd seeing him playing much more assertively so early in the season.  Enjoy it while it lasts folks, haha ;D.  Again, I just think he's playing for a contract, so, meh.

There's a clip of Green saying he is being more aggressive this season. Contract certainly is a motivator -- likely his last big contract.

There may be something to that.

Stevens's new approach, as well as better personnel (including Rondo) has allowed for higher quality shots, more rebounds and better defense (more blocks for JG).

BUT.

Jeff has improved going left, as well as gaining an in between game, seems to have worked on his jumper and seemingly has improved his conditioning as well. You could see a little more aggression from him.

Wonder how much of it is Stevens, how much of it is having a better team and how much of it is Jeff Green?
