Smart is a better defender than Rondo.  The Mavs have issues now on the offensive end

Well yeah, he's bigger and stronger and their only burner is Ellis. Janet and Harris can't get by smart.

it doesn't matter. The Mavs look like a diff team with Smart pressuing their pg

Yeah man I'm not disagreeing.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

You do realize Avery was defending the PG and Rondo was primarily on Ellis? Or does it even matter?

Holding them to under 70 pts in the half seems like a victory... it's going to be a looong season

Smart's D is about the only positive, but man can that kid defend.  All-NBA caliber.

Kept them to under 70 at the half that's tonight's victory

This is exactly what I predicted.

Celtics are devoid of serious playoff talent.

Maybe we can get a center ....this time ...since Utah and Philly have like six a piece from sucking for a thousand years.

i'd trade this whole roster for one good player.   crap, i want my nba pass money back.
Yeah I didn't expect them to be world beaters but man this is awful. I just reupped NBALP and it looks like a complete repeat of last season we might as well start playing Young

I've honestly thought about this, too.  The teams who could possibly be worse than us already have C's (Philly, Milwaukee, Orlando, Utah, etc.).  The only team we'd have to worry about is the Lakers, but you never know how this stuff will work out - just like Philly taking Embiid last year with Noel.

How we respond in the second half will tell me a LOT about the heart and character of this team and whether they are worth my time this year.  Prove yourselves worthy of my time in the second half and earn my time.  Bleed GREEN in the second half Celtics!!!!!

All I want for Christmas is a legitimate starting nba center.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
