I was going to get drunk to forget I watched this. But I have work tomorrow. Sigh so depressing.

This is seriously a game needing alcohol medication

I advise to drink heavily
Get a doctor to write you a note, if he watched the game I am sure he ll understand...
i am sure he would mandate drinking after this game.

its official, the celtics set a celtics record for worst 3 point shooting (1-25) and young out scored rondo 6 to 4 in 29 fewer minutes. you know something is wrong with number like those.

still, in the spirit of drinking, had even shot 20% from 3 point range they would have won. amazing.
And the crazy thing is that many of those shots were wide open. Apart from aliens, I can think of no rational explanation.

I'm a dinosaur ....but I remember those DH Orlando games......Orlando was a do or die by the three ....and they usually died ....to elite scoring stars who can get their own shots

[dang] 3hr dinner is what killed us. out partying with each other last night as if we didn't have a game. LOL

Seriously though, if we hit a few WIDE OPEN shots we had a chance. Harden at one pt had like 4 or so made baskets but like 23pts... [dang] ridiculous!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I was looking at the box score during the game and I remember seeing that harden stat... So frustrating

And it's not like he's not good enough to earn his numbers, but they just GIVE it to him

Not saying the refs are doing that just against us, it happens in every game in which he plays..until the playoffs...then they make him earn it..more or less
I trust Danny Ainge

Law of averages.  A game like this was obviously going to happen after the ridiculousness of Game 1

Games like this happen more frequently with teams who are so dependent on 3 point shot.

Good nights generate big highs but bad nights lead to ugly lows.
You gotta get use to this, though... OUr system is all about sharing the ball and sharing the shot attempts.  It's cute, but this is the NBA... none of our guys are consistent shooters. Olynyk is probably the best of the bunch and he's a borderline NBA starter.  Tonight he was limited by foul trouble... rest of those guys are going to clang em pretty often... or you'll have games like the Nets game where they just collectively shoot out of their butts.  That's not going to happen often.
Did you really have to say something like this, after a game like this?

I taped the Nets game...

I'm gonna watch it again .....

To be sure I wasn't dreaming

Perhaps we should have watched the Nets game tonight, lol.  Joe Johnson goes off for 34 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists, and KG scored 18 points to go along with 14 rebounds :o, 2 steals, and a block.  I miss him :'(.

fear not. next year's draft seems to have at least 4 genuine centers and at least one should be on board when the celtics pick. patience, patience.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Rebounds were 44-49 (sure we covered some of the distance in the last quarter, but still...), Zeller was better than expected, and Sully played some good D (and got murdered by the refs).
What really killed us IMO was Harden and the missed 3's.
I say keep these draft picks, there are lots of good bigs in the coming draft.

Pretty much.  That article on the front page entitled, "Celtics have the best offense in the league," looks even more ridiculous now, haha ;D.  Oh well, at least it's amusing ;D.

Live by the three, you can dive by the three.

I expected us to lose, shooting threes is our best chance to win right now and sometimes they do not fall.

We really only played one solid team in preseason, we'll get them next time.  I was glad to see Rajon dunk it again.    I thought Zeller played better than KO tonight.  Tough night for Smart but he showed heart throughout it.  I doubt he wins ROY.

We played poorly, their bigs ate us alive.   KO and Sully are not athletic enough to guard Jones or Dwight that well.  Sully held his on offensively somewhat and did ok on the boards.  But when you can't keep up with guys you foul him trying to stop him.

I feel fairly confident in predicting that our three point shooting percentage for the season will be much closer to what it was in the Brooklyn game than what it was against the Rockets.

Olynyk is not really a consistent shooter. The Celtics have reliable shooters, they're not going 1 for 23 all the time.
