Huge heat check with that 3, Rose is definitely heating up.   He's got 22.  Bulls are up by 24, they've probably got this.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Including his huge 29 point game against the Celtics, Rondo's averages this month: 9 points, 6.9 assists, 5.2 rebounds, 1.6 steals on 38%/39%/00% shooting.    Surprised his 3-point shooting is so high.  He's a 26% shooting from three traditionally.

Think we'll ever see him make an all-star game again?  Think anyone will be silly enough to give him max money?

And people around here say Rondo fans are obessed with Rondo......

Hahahahahahahahahahaha.

It's funny because it's true.

Well it's slightly vindicating to see Mavs fans complain that their offense "falls apart" with Rondo in the game and they are better off with Barrea...

It does sound like Rondo has been an effective Bradley-esque defensive specialist there.   I'm keeping tabs on it.  Fascinating situation seeing Rondo as the 5th best player on a fairly good (but not great) team.

9 games for a starting point guard without making a FT?  That's crazy to me.

There's much left to discuss in the Rondo debate.   Long-standing questions in the process of being answered.  Heck no I'm not abandoning ship right now... I wasted too much energy on this forum defending my belief that Rondo was overrated.  Why stop talking about it as it's being proven he's overrated?  Watching him throw up nightly clunkers in Dallas and seeing their fans squirm is pretty entertaining.

He's also had double-digit assists once in the past 13 games.  Says a lot about the age-old "Rondo is a product of his system" debate, imo.   His numbers in Dallas are similar to what he did as a role player on the 08 title team.   Kind of interesting.

Dude, he's played 15 games with a new team.

Please, I beg of you, talk to me again come 3rd-4th round of the playoffs.

Oh trust me... I'm very excited to see the "Playoff Rondo" myth dispelled as well.   It'll be fun.  Let's make a party of out it.

Few things to enjoy during this garbage Celtic season...  Trade exceptions, Future Draft Picks, Cap Space... and watching the Rondo myth crumble.

Rondo's not the same player he was physically. Just watch some of his old games from 2010 or so and you'll immediately notice how explosive he used to be.

I told BBallTim, who's apparently gone and posting in some random Dallas board now, that Rondo will never be an all-star again and the more time that passes the more that looks to be accurate.

If a team gives him anywhere near the max they're making a huge mistake. If I'm a Mavs fan I'd be scared to death of Cuban thinking he needs to reward Rondo to that type of contract based on what he did years ago. And if "playoff Rondo" shows up the Mavs are definitely not going far. To do so would mean that he'd be dominating the ball and completely opposite of that share the ball approach they implement.

I took a look at a Mavs forum.  A few of the fans think 4 years 48 mil is a major overpay.   Rondo is just a bad fit with Ellis.  He's basically useless without the ball.  Teams are leaving him insultingly wide open.   There might be 1 out of 5 games that he makes teams pay with some flukey shooting, but the rest of the time he's a liability.   Give him the ball and he's effective, but the team is better off when Ellis controls the ball.  Tough situation.  If they wanted a defensive specialist, they should have just traded for Avery Bradley.

The Rondo All-Star days are almost for sure gone. Pretty much everyone can see that, but it's not necessarily a jab at Rondo. Rather, it's the strength of that position right now. There are just too many great PGs ahead of him right now.

Tank Watch: Looks like Utah is getting ready to get a win in Milwaukee. That's great for us, because they'll be competing with us the rest of the season.

Or he'll win a playoff game for the team and take off pressure off Dirk. I've checked Mavsmoneyball and while they are concerned with his shooting. They do like his defense and rebounding.
