I mean, it's similar to the numbers he was putting up on the Sixers last year. He needs to do quite a bit more before he starts getting credit. We've already seen that he can put up numbers on a bad team, particularly when he's playing other bad teams; that's not exactly news.
He has career averages of 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal per 36 minutes, and we are paying him about $3M a year.
Paul Pierce put up similar numbers last year for Brooklyn and was making closer to $10M a year.
Given the money he's making, how can anyone complain? His signing was probably THE biggest steal of the off-season. Not just for the Celtics, but out of the entire league.
