Employees at altitude say Rondo didn't even jump, just watched his kids have fun.
I'm sure that is true, but it also doesn't mean he didn't injury his hand there.  I mean if he injured it in the shower (allegedly), he could have easily injured it at the tramp park even if he didn't actually jump on a tramp.

By doing what?  Sitting in a chair watching his kids?  Using the restroom there?

Why stop there?  He could've hurt himself taking something out of his car in the driveway after getting home.  Or opening the door to his house.

This whole thing is ridiculously overblown.
well yeah, but that was my point.  When you injure yourself slipping in the shower, you could injure yourself anywhere doing almost anything.

Frankly I could care less how he injured himself, the fact is, he got hurt and is going to miss at least a couple of weeks of the season (if not more).  At least it is his wrist so he in theory can do some cardio exercises to stay in better shape (then say if he injured his ankle).

Joel Pryzbilla also injured himself in the shower, missing time for Portland.  I guess it happens.  Not sure how may players of other sports have these kind of problems?

His explosiveness was lacking and his lateral quickness wasn't there. There's a reason that most of the comments you see about Rondo from nba players, coaches and gms talk about how they expect him to play better next year when he's farther away from the knee injury. Also, his number of passes that weren't for assists is about the same as it is for most of the other top point guards.

I suspect that I am in the minority but I just did not see it that way.  I don't think there are any posted stats that directly measure lateral quickness and explosiveness so everyone has to base their opinion on what they saw on the court.  To my eye, Rondo moved just fine, exploded just fine, but when he got to the rim, it was more crowded with defenders who were keying more on him than other players on the court.  That is life when you are the best player on the team vs. the 3rd or 4th best.  Rondo had 30 games to see how it is to really be the best player on a bad team so hopefully he will be better adjusted to that when he gets back on the court this season.

If you watched the games and saw something different or if you base your opinion on what everyone else says (which in your case, I doubt), what can I say, we are not going to agree.  Rondo said himself that he was 100%, many times.  I have never heard him or Ainge or Stevens say Rondo was anything other than 100% last season (which I know, they are not going to say, yeah, he was not sure of his knee but we put him out there anyway).  So I guess we all hear what we want to hear (it is called confirmation bias).

Everyone agrees that Rondo played badly last year, the division of opinion comes from whether or not you think it was an aberration or an indication of future performance.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

A certain English Premier League defender injured his knee while putting his legs up to watch tv, another did it hauling out the trash. No big deal, that is life.

Rondo is now like the Samuel L Jackson character in "Unbreakable".
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

Why is this a 9 page thread? The Rondo hate is at a new level.. What has he done to make people hate him (don't answer please)? He doesn't have any DUIs.. Never hit his wife.. Does a lot of charity work...  If Pierce or Leon Powe hurt their hand in the shower, we wouldn't be bringing up a trampoline park and digging to see if they were lying.  I don't get it. I'm sick of the hate... Can we just stick to basketball instead of unnecessarily attacking someone's character?

Well, at least you are willing to admit what you think you saw is nothing more than your own confirmation bias.   ;)

Would people feel better if it turned out that Rondo injured himself in the shower while having conjugal relations with his wife in there?

Of course they will -- I mean, add a sword fight, and you're having yourself a regular Game of Thrones episode.

Rondo's wife is actually Rondo's husband?

Not really. A lot of people don't realize how frequent bathroom/shower injuries are I've noticed. I'm surprised people don't believe the shower story. Seems like a place a lot of people get hurt from time to time. I read somewhere there are roughly ~250,000 bathroom injuries a year for peoples over 15.
