As bad as we all feel...just think how bummed Rondo must be . :-[

My heart goes out to the owners, who still have to pay the guy millions of dollars.

I feel for the owner and the players both are just making ends meet. It's the fans that have all the money.

it seemed rondo was pretty bulked up-was that slowing him down and isn't an extra 6/8 weeks working on his knee and speed and vertical more important than upper body-last year was painful to watch him without his quickness and ability to explode---live in england and have nobody to brag to about my nephews son making the fab frosh camp top 30 and all star team -these were the top 60 in country held in atlanta-he is from holliston, mass

Amazing how Danny continues to keep this Player on the Roster..

Should have been traded at the draft.

Bingo.

And we should have never signed Bradley. I am beginning to lose faith in Ainge.
We are paying tens of millions of dollars for a guy who is leaving and a backup two guard.

Suddenly, dealing Rondo for Paul George sounds like a pretty fair deal.

Whether in the shower or in a fight, Rondo breaking his had is really bad timing for Rondo and the Celtics.  This doesn't help the Celtics trade Rondo, it doesn't help Rondo get his money, he sure isn't going to be attracting any big name player, and he won't be turning Zeller into a dunk machine.  Bad no matter your perspective on Rondo.

The worst part of this for me is that when Rondo comes back and plays about like he always played, and doesn't really move the needle for making the team better, the apologists will have another excuse to say he missed camp and he doesn't have his timing because of his hand and so on.

Really unfortunate for Rondo.  This is his time and this is just one more road block.

You got to weight lift to stay in good shape.
Popular misconception, but no, not really true.

Try just doing cardio and see what happens to your muscles.
What happens to my muscles? Less than you think (and yes, I've done it on several occasions). Also, this is an NBA point guard we're talking about here, not a defensive tackle or a professional bodybuilder.

Most NBA players probably don't have intensive lifting routines through the season anyhow considering all the travel, the games, and the needed recovery time. Lifting is not an issue.

I heard a report on WEEI saying the broken bone was in the back of his hand, and not the knuckle area, which is common if you punch something(the knuckle area).

I think the biggest question still remains, was he at least drinking?
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
