Breaking: Rondo's broken hand secret code that he'll be traded for Amar'e Stoudimire.

This is why you dont use too much shower gel, very dangerous.

Get well, Rajon. In the mean time, this means we're throwing Marcus Smart into the fire right away? Very interesting.

Whatever season we are going to have, this injury isn't going to change much either way. November's schedule is brutal. Indiana and Philly look to be the only below average teams we face. During this time we play the Raps, Thunder, Spurs, Mavs, Grizzlies, Rockets, and the Bulls twice. It was going to be a tough month regardless. Rondo will be back at full speed by December.

Wait...why is there so much speculation that it was from a fight, etc.? From what I've read, the Celtics looked closely into that and are convinced its a shower fall. I mean, of course they can be covering it up, but that can apply to anything. People fall in the shower all the time.

No reason to disbelieve him, but it doesn't help that a metacarpal injury of the 4th or 5th metacarpal (I don't know which one he broke, just that it was a metacarpal) is called a "boxer's fracture" for a reason.

6 weeks is nothing.  Smart can get some experience with the team in training camp and the pre-season, and then Rondo can come back strong early in the season.
sorry for not reading the entire thread before responding, but i had to thank roy for these sentiments. things are bleak as they are, i prefer now to accept what is and be positive from there.

let the smart era begin. trial by fire and now we get to watch him play and learn. rondo gets to heal and the celtics still have an interesting player at point guard.

now, i return to the thread.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

This fan base has become incredibly disappointing.

Anything that happens we're ready to jump in the tank. how about this fan base grows a pair!!!

Yep, so I'll start...bad break (bad pun), but next man up.  You wear the Green, you better be ready for any thing.

Don't know who takes the rock now...but time to shine!  GO CELTICS!

It is a suspicious story, but also a plausible one.

Love broke his doing knuckle pushups in a team facility from what I recall. Also sounded silly but silly injuries happen.

(Bird's back, Perkins foot, etc.)

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Kinda sucks but probably ensures a few more losses, whilst developing Smart and Bradley.

I wonder who starts season at PG and SG if Rondo is out?
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Things are looking rather surreal again- with uplifting 'Toine quotes, a suspended Simmons and now Shower-gate.  Looking forward to Smart's trial by fire though.
