Breaking: NBA Owners move to add language to contracts prohibiting players taking showers in the off season.
I would be on board with a bath clause  :)

Rondo might drown.

All joking aside. Who falls in the shower?!!

Not joking here -- shower injuries happen all the time.

Not saying I know the shower story is true, but why do we (our society) always presume lies before we presume truth?  We all know that accidents happen.   My wife fell down the stairs last year and broke her toe -- do you believe me, or do you think there must be more to the story?

Sometimes people actually tell the truth and sometimes accidents actually happen.

Even if the cynical side of me tells me to doubt the story, I choose to believe it until I hear something other than pure speculation to the contrary.

Rich people who probably have walk in showers unlike some of us common folk...I've almost fallen a few times if the base was extra soapy or slippery...not that uncommon

Who slips in the shower??!!?

Marcus Smart time.
Senior citizens in nursing homes slip in the shower.  He kind of has to lie, but his story is about as believable as Kevin Loves pushup story.

Why? What good does it do you?

Strange question but I'll take it seriously.  I like to choose (when I am able) to believe that people are telling the truth partly because it leaves me feeling better about people, and partly because I believe that people tell the truth more often than they lie.

I have experience in lying about a broken hand.  It's tough to walk into a professional job and say that you were in a fight.  It must be impossibly difficult for a celebrity like Rondo to say he punched a wall or whatever possibly could have happened.  Big Baby was ridiculed for his broken hand and everybody already knew he was a flake.  Rondo is the leader of the Celtics.

Is rondo a senior citizen?

His fitness will also suffer as a result to this accident. He wont be back until next year

Wait...why is there so much speculation that it was from a fight, etc.? From what I've read, the Celtics looked closely into that and are convinced its a shower fall. I mean, of course they can be covering it up, but that can apply to anything. People fall in the shower all the time.

The hardcore rondo fans refuse to believe he fell in the shower.

Yeah, I guess I like to believe what I think is true, regardless of how it makes me feel about people. It almost sounds like you're saying you prefer to willingly put your head in the sand in some situations if it'll make you feel better.

And I'm not really all that suspicious about what happened mostly because I don't care that much how it happened. I wouldn't think any less of Rondo if I found out he lied about it. Heck, I've done way worse things than lie about a hand injury before.
