My boy just texted me about it right now.  Ugh.

Cue the "let's trade him because he's injury prone" theories on top of the "past his prime"; "can't shoot"; and "ball-pounder" haters  ::)  ;)

This really sucks.  I hope Danny won't panic and trade him before getting his value up.

Hopefully he broke it on Dwayne Wade's face at Rondo's new condo in Miami  ;D .

But seriously, this sucks .

Guess Smart is opening day starting PG.

Makes no sense to trade Rondo at this point , he needs to build his value up again .

6 weeks is nothing.  Smart can get some experience with the team in training camp and the pre-season, and then Rondo can come back strong early in the season.

If all goes well with the recovery he'll only wind up missing the first 6-8 games.

Those were my thoughts as well, though I'd imagine 6 weeks is a bit on the optimistic side, I think it might be a bit more, but might be mistaken.

what you said, 6 weeks from now means probably first few games of the season...3-4 weeks from now is opening night, so he'll miss like 2 more weeks, not much

though, I am curious as to how that happened
