ESPN sources say that the Cavs are in process of trading for Boston's Keith Bogans

Sources say Cavs are expected to package their three non-guaranteed deals (Erik Murphy, John Lucas and Malcolm Thomas) in trade for KBogans

Wonder if Cavs think Bogans can still play.  If so, I wonder if they send us a future second, or cash.  Seems pointless otherwise.

Celtics probably dumping the Bogans salary this year to fit the Evan Turner contract in. Can't think of any other reason.

I'm trying to imagine what's in it for us.  I mean, trading one non-guaranteed contract for several.  There's probably something obvious that I'm missing, but missing it I am.

If this is true, I only know one of those names (Lucas). I know we will waive them but we must be getting a 2nd b/c we could just waive Bogs ourselves. What's in it for us?
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

They could be sending cash, or a future #2.  Or, they could just be doing the Cavs a favor.

I doubt the Cavs have any interest in Bogans the player.  They just want that larger non-guaranteed contract.

Sounds reasonable.  Best guess is we just get some cash.  I'd prefer a second, but then I'm greedy that way.

Possibly what Danny is doing is, he is getting 4 ungaurenteed contracts to use in multiple trades, instead of just the one in Keith Bogans.

Maybe Danny sees some value in Dwight Powell:

I don't see how it is helping the Cavs.  They could just waive the 3 contracts just as easily as waiving Bogans.  Same in a trade X amount of outgoing nonguaranteed salary is X amount of outgoing nonguaranteed salary.  There is either more to it or the Celtics are actually interested in one or more of the players coming back.

Random, but Erik Murphy is from Rhode Island, and his younger brother, Tomas, is 6' 9" sophomore in high school this year. The middle brother played at Duke for a while, the dad was drafted 31st overall in 1981, and the mom played for the Swedish Olympic team.

EDIT: Finnish national team
