Actually it can get a lot worse. The players can quit on certain nights when the losses start piling up. That, fortunately, did not happen last year, but is always a possibility if you're bad for too long a time. The other thing to be concerned about is how long Stevens will put up with not being able to compete when he'd be an automatic candidate for the first big NCAA job that opens up.
But I do believe this team is going to stink again this season.
If Brad is the type of coach to let the players quit, then he should head back to the NCAA with his tail between his legs...
...fortunately, I don't think he's that kind of coach...and the fact that he's got a mostly young roster, with a few mature vets who know the game, gives him the leeway to treat them like college coaches do when they feel their players are giving up...kick their arse!
Losing sucks...nobody wants to do it, but there is always one loser in any contest. The "victory" is what do you take from the contest that you can apply in the future. Sometimes a loss can be just as valuable or more than a victory.
