If KO is the go to guy in the fourth quarter, there is a very good chance we either have the first or second pick in next year's draft.
Sadly, I have to agree.

explain. KO has the size, handles and multiple ways to score on you. It's his tendency to overpass the ball that's the issue imo

He shot the 3 better than 40 percent and over 50 percent overall in shooting late last season. He should be shooting the ball more

The answer is the open man. Kelly, Sully, Thornton, Rondo, Smart, Avery and Zeller can all make buckets. Jeff too. None have the ability to take over like a Kobe, Pierce or Carmelo.

Stevens is going to get these guys to find the open guy and not rely on ISO plays.

It's gonna be James Young. Dude can really score. Thornton will also help.

i agree your idea might end up working the best.   Kind of like the Spurs style.

I'm excited to see what Young can do.  That dunk vs Uconn to get Kentucky out that scoring slump was huge

Lol. You're funny. Too bad we're too good for it.

Strangely I agree with most the posts here.

1. we don't have a go to guy (that we know of yet) so we will lose a lot of close games
2. we will move the ball around and many players will have a chance to score, Spurs style
3. I do think KO can be that guy some nights if he stays aggressive

Mr. Rondo

Rondo is not a go to scorer. He has never been.

It also can't be Mr. invincible , Mr. Jeff Green

Gonna have to be one of them. At this point Rondo, Smart and Green are the only pplayers on our team who can create on their own. Maybe Marcus Thornton?

Rondo can create assist but he is not an exceptional scorer.  The game plan vs Rondo is to lay off of him and let him beat you with the jump shot.

That's been the game plan to stop Rondo from getting all those assists and keeping him out of the lane for his entire career. How do you think it's working so far?

My notion of a "go to guy" has to be able to beat his defender off the dribble as a prerequisite. Olynyk can put the ball on the floor but doesn't really have much of a first step. To paraphrase Ainge, I think he was being being blunt when he described him on draft night as a complementary piece and just a good all around player. I'd say Smart's the only player on the roster with the potential to be a go to scorer. Maybe Young depending on his development.

Edit: Now that I think of it, most any efficient scorer in the post isn't a guy who has to beat his opponent off the dribble, but that doesn't apply to Olynyk.

I could see Rondo and Smart being the initiators to possibly find the open man.
