after watching marcus in several full game tapes both good and bad it looks like he should benefit at both ends coming off bench-the ability to focus his energy in fewer areas and coming in fresh can only help his defensive intensity and the burden of not carrying team should help shot selection--with ending of summer leagues now comes learning how to be just a NBA rookie-

I don't think we will be able to count on smart for big minutes in the first half of the season. His ultra aggressive defense might lend itself to a lot off fouls early.

I expect Smart to be great off the bench by playing excellent defence and relentlessly attacking the rim.
