A team like Houston, to me, would make an excellent trading partner. They are desperate and have no players that they can trade that we would be interested in( except for Terrence Jones). They have cap space from dumping contracts for Bosh.
If we traded him to HOU they could:
1) absorb his contract and create a very large TPE for us
2) give us 3-4 future firsts
I believe they do not have their first round pick in the next draft......that sucks for them because future picks are worth less than current ones, so they will have to compensate us with more picks.
In this specific case I disagree with the original poster, because we do get something for Rondo.
1)Cap space
2) a 13 million dollar TPE
3) 3-4 future firsts
4) right to swaps
This is the best trade IMO for Rondo. Id rather get draft picks, even future ones, instead of semi decent young players that may not be in the league in a few years.
