  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I wouldnt do it without Wiggins if im Minny anyway. This was just a matter of time. There are no other pieces Cavs can offer that will suit the Wolves and beat the Klay-Lee offer by GS (if its true).

What is Greatness BTW? I can define Greatness in the NBA as Jordan, Bird, Russell, Cowens. Carrying the team and making them better. Bron bron faded when things and calls didnt go his way.

Look, I love Dave Cowens as much as the next guy, but it is insane to call him greater than Kareem or Magic. Or Wilt. Or Shaq. Or Tim Duncan.

I saw his old films, and he was a maniac pushing the Cs to be at their best. Idiosyncratic genius with flaws, drove a taxi at one point after a game because he was too tired to be tired - - > added to the mythos of Cowens. He won two titles for the Cs. Him being only 6'9" and played center. He still is great even today.
Peavey Bass Player - relearning to play after 10 years sucks;

Bron-bron really is trying hard to get whoever and whatever he wants. Cleveland obliges. If Lebron wanted Blatt to wipe his a$$ management will willingly ask Blatt to do it.

Enough of this pampering. He still is a choker IMHO. He choked again this finals. He is not wired to overcome very difficult situations, what with everything given to him on a silver platter.

Cmon man I'm far from the biggest Lebron fan but I can appreciate greatness... Just wondering what more you think he could have done when his team mates where playing the way they did? Besides drop 45-50 points every game..

LeBron totally carried his Cavs and the last 2 Miami finals runs. LeBron is great.

Well...if Wiggins is involved and the Cavs are serious, they will get Love. This is okay in that they'll have to trade a lot of their young assets to get him (as they don't have that many big salaries, and it seems unlikely they'll trade LeBron's pal Sideshow Bob)...or need a third team to help out with salaries in exchange for some talent. If the latter, I think we might be a good candidate, and maybe can grab something decent from them. If the former, they're going to have to include some combo of Waiters, Bennett, and Thompson with Wiggins (and maybe all). Granted, I think the rest of those players are maybe good role players, tops (and who knows what Wiggins will actually be), but that's a lot to trade, and the Cavs are generally morons so they might not make the move.

havent read the posts here, but Lebron has told Kevin Love he wants him in cleveland. personally i think that makes it just a matter of time until he is there.

Deal done?

T-Spence: "It's Waiters, Thompson, and Wiggins for Love and the rights to GRIII according to my minnesota source"

I'll give him props if this is true... just can't believe a random twitter acct will be 1st on this development rather than espn/yahoo sports writers...

I don't get this....according to league sources? Who the hecccckkk are league sources? What does that even mean? Two teams are negotiating and they call up "league sources" to tell them the negotiations for no reason? Then the "league sources" inform everyone? Not "team sources" because then if one team isn't leaking they sorta know the other team is.

Why do these "league sources" always leak every single conversation? You can't trust them with any info. Why don't GMs just tell people themselves? Or tell someone else to? This never makes any sense.

Do they just have an intern running around that hears everything with espn on his speed dial?

Names people. Names.  Use them. If you don't have a name you have a rumor. Good for you.

I think that's probably what the trade will be. I am just hesitant to trust sources unless they come from woj for big news.

I believe Woj that Lebron has reached out to Love. But i'm skeptical that the cavs have actually offered Wiggins.  If they did, no way that the wolves are still thinking about this.

Latest offer imo is prob more like

To Wolves: Bennett, Waiters, 1st, Tristan Thompson

But the Wolves want Wiggins instead.  Lebron or not, i just can't see the cavs ownership trading Wiggins for a potential 1 year rental. Already without wiggins, they are overpaying for Love

This is an unfortunate reality of dealing with sports -- the best recent example was probably Chris Sheridan and the LeBron thing. He stuck by his source, refused to reveal who it was, and was validated. That's how it goes.

Well, it would be at least two years, bc I'm sure a requirement would be that Love not exercise the early option on his contract.
