No big shock as we have enough Guards on the roster.

Jerryd got a job!  Yay! ;D  It sucks that he'll be playing for Kidd, though.

Fine with me.  Never cared for Bayless.

I wonder if it'll be another S&T, Bucks have a small trade exception they could use (depending on how much the deal is for), so that could be an option. But I don't expect much value in this one.

Can we sign a FA using a TPE and if it's possible can we combine two?
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Can't combine them.

Can't sign a free-agent using a trade exception. You can acquire him via sign and trade though.

That TPE the Bucks have is for $3.25 million. Wonder if that could come into play.

Would Bayless get more than that on the market?

Unless Bayless is getting a big raise, I don't think it would be.  They have the cap room.

They have a 3.5 Million TPE I would love it if Danny was able to get 2 of these in one day.

The hope, for Larry Sanders fans, should be that Bayless can be combined with Bogans, Smith, and Babb to bring back Sanders for draft considerations.  If you're not a Larry Sanders fan, I suppose this can be your fear.

By my estimation, they don't. They have their exceptions and the trade exception. Unless they renounce Ekpe Udoh, which wouldn't surprise me... but doing so for Bayless, and losing all your exceptions to do so? Yeah, I don't see it.

Assuming they renounce Udoh, they have more cap room than the MLE and their trade exception.  Why wouldn't they renounce them?  Sure, they lose a $3.5 million trade exception. They gain $12 million in cap room, which can be used just like a trade exception.  They lose the $5.3 million MLE, but they gain $12 million in cap room, which can be used just like the MLE.  Except in both cases, they have more in cap room than the exceptions.

Sure, they could sign-and-trade, but it would strictly be a kind gesture to the Celtics.  There's nothing that organization gets out of it.
