Just wanted to put this out there for all the guys who have been so critical of Marcus Smart for his Summer League performance, and also so critical of Danny Ainge for drafting him.
Summer League stats so far sorted by PPG):
1: Doug McDermott (20.5 PTS, 3.0 REB, 2.5 AST, 0 STL, 0.5 BLK, 3.0 TO, 45% FG, 50% 3PT, 94% FT, +17.5 PIE)
2: Marcus Smart (14.8 PTS, 4.2 REB, 4.2 AST, 2.0 STL, 0.4 BLK, 1.8 TO, 29% FG, 26% 3PT, 83% FT, +13.2 PIE)
3: Jabari Parker (14.0 PTS, 7.3 REB, 1.7 AST, 2.0 STL, 0.0 BLK, 4.0 TO, 38% FG, 20% 3PT, 67% FT, +11.0 PIE)
4: Andrew Wiggins (13.7 PTS, 3.0 REB, 0.3 AST, 1.7 STL, 1.7 BLK, 2.3 TO, 38% FG, 17% 3PT, 45% FT, +8.33 PIE)
5: Julius Randle (12.0 PTS, 3.0 REB, 1.5 AST, 0.0 STL, 0.5 BLK, 3.5 TO, 45% FG, 0.0% 3PT, 60% FT, +6.0 PIE)
6: Aaron Gordon (7.8 PTS, 5 REB, 1.2 AST, 0.0 STL, 0.4 BLK, 1.4 TO, 35% FG, 0.0% 3PT, 48% FT, +5.4 PIE)
7: Noah Vonleh (7.7 PTS, 9.7 REB, 0.7 AST, 0.3 STL, 1.3 BLK, 3.0 TO, 24% FG, 17% 2PT, 53% FT, +7.0 PIE)
8: Dante Exum (7.3 PTS, 2.7 REB, 3.0 AST, 0.7 STL, 0.3 BLK, 40% FG)*
* Other stats for Exum not available, as the link to his profile is broken
So far I think it's safe to say that Smart has more than held his own against the rest of the competition from his draft class (who were expected to go top 8-10).
