This was a great transaction. We're already 3 PFs and Cs deep without Hump. He was great for us last year but I'd place Sully and Kelly ahead of him on the PF depth for pure playing time/development and place him behind Zeller as a C.

Now if only we could off load a guard. Roster stands at 16 currently.

what have we done so far this season to put a better team on the court next season? I say nothing. We have not improved this team at all.

Well maybe I am looking at it from the wrong viewpoint. We have made moves to make tanking easier. That is for sure.

Thanks for the clarification guys, you're both closer than I was. Is C. Iverson someone we have the rights to only? Just wondering if he'd be #18 or not. And I definitely omitted Bogans earlier since I just keep convincing myself we'll find a deal for him somehow lol

seriously? ticket sales are down because the team is not competitive yet. Letting Hump go is not going to alienate anyone...and this is coming from a fan of his who wanted to resign him. I wanted Hump if we get Love. Otherwise, it makes more sense to give the youngun's more minutes to mature.

Gotta love these threads! Even in the most idealistic world, Hump only gave us what we hope Sully and Olynyk will give us. He's still a PF, trying to masquerade as a rim-defender at times.

If anyone was going to give us value for that, I'm sure Danny would have cashed in. I don't understand why some people think Danny Ainge is trying to give away assets. If deals like this happen, it's because it's the best we could get.

But given that's the case, this is a positive. We gain a TPE, and we lose a redundant player. Hump never offered the C's anything Sully or Olynyk couldn't.
