A yellow square?  I can't imagine anyone will buy a jersey because it has a yellow square on the neck.

Why not replace the square with a number embroidered in gold, at least?  Give the Celtics the gold "17" they deserve.

They're just slowly (or not so slowly) pushing the envelope of what's going on the jerseys to try and ease in the idea of the real end goal here; advertisements.

They already have ads on DLeague and WNBA jerseys... expect the NBA to follow in few years time...

Looks like it will have the numbers of championships in the gold square.  Celtics would be "17 X" with a pic of the O'Brien trophy.

Spurs one looks like it needs to be updated. Scratch that, let's try Pistons.

It's lame that the 5 Minnesota Lakers championships don't stay in MN. Los Angeles Lakers only won 11 in CA.

The equivalent would be having the Thunder get recognition for a championship won by the Sonics. Makes no sense .. .even if the name didn't change from MN to LA.

The World Cup Jerseys have Stars the front of the Jerseys for how many World Cup Wins a Country has...Germany had 3 stars this time---they will have 4 next time....I like this idea.
