He did an interview with WEEI yesterday where he said that he could defenintely see himself coming back here and said things like:

That was like the last place where I ever thought I’d be putting on a jersey, but the fans were great. They embraced you if you played hard, and the coaching staff and everyone was awesome.

and

“The fans are great in Boston,” said Humphries, who naturally wore a Twins cap in his hometown of Minneapolis. “Really, no matter what team you look at, the support is awesome. Obviously, you want to make the playoffs. That’s obviously a little disappointing, but it was a year where I feel like I got better as a player, working on different parts of my game. Sometimes you’ve just gotta take certain things from a situation where you don’t make the playoffs.”

How are we supposed to showcase Sully though with this guy taking so much of the C and PF minutes?  I suppose he'd be good for about half his current deal, but I don't know, I kind of want to let him walk.

Yup it is time to let him walk even though he played well. The celtics have 3 power forward who deserve minutes already. They have 2 young centers who need time to develop.

I dont want to see any more bigs added unless they are an upgrade over what we have. hump would just be more of the same - a solid backup level player.

I have no problem overpaying him this year with a team option next year if possible to play the role of a back-up center (even if overall he's ill suited for it).

Try to use Olynyk and Sullinger exclusively as PFs (minimizing slides to the C spot) and also gain a trade chip in Humphries that is of multi-use in potential trade with Minnesota.

And if we manage to make the playoffs (which personally I'm projecting we'll be if we remain healthy), then some bodies that actually know how to play hard we'll be more than welcome.

But can't spend more money beyond this year though.

Once they got that trade exception, I though Washington would be a great option for him.

Hmm, that's a bit concerning... not sure who'll they be sending.

Nene? Andre Miller? Webster (don't want his contract)...

As I put in the other Humphries thread, Wojo is reporting he signed with Washington.  No talk of a trade.

Now he is saying they are working on a sign and trade

Are we getting anything in return as far as player go, or just a trade exception?

Man, all these fireworks Danny and Wyc were talking about are polluting my lungs

Solid frontcourt they're working on in Washington.

13.5 Million for 3 years---totally reasonable---we should have just kept him---I guess Wash has a TPE for us though....those things can come in handy.
