Max salaries are also derived from the salary cap. I have estimated them to be the following:
Fewer than 5 years of experience (Gordon Hayward, Eric Bledsoe, Greg Monroe, and Lance Stephenson): $14.76 million in year 1, $63.04 million for a four year deal with another team. (So everyone had a very good estimate when Hayward's deal was annoucned yesterday at $63 million).
5-9 years of experience (no max-level free agents out there in this range, but Rondo, Love, and Aldridge next year): $17.7 million in year 1, $75.64 million for a four-year deal with another team.
10+ years of experience (LeBron, Bosh): $20.7 million in year 1, $88.25 million for a four-year deal with another team, or $118.84 million for a five-year deal with the Heat.
(Note: Carmelo Anthony exceeds this maximum salary, since he made more than this last year. His max is 105% of his salary last year).
