I wonder what a deal would look like?

Love's salary is $15.7M
So, Cleveland needs to send back at least $10.5M (150% of $10.5M = $15.7M).
Maybe: Anthony Bennett, Tristan Thompson (together = $10.6M) and rights to Wiggins?
Or: Thompson, Waiters, Gee (together = $12M) and rights to Wiggins?
How much does Varejo make?  Wiggins and Varejo and Waiters might be enough.

Doesn't LBJ love sideshow? I was figuring he's staying.
He does.  But if the Cavs are getting Love (and Lebron), they might actually have to give up something they want.

And it looks like the trade does work on the trade machine.

I was thinking Cavs will S&T Deng.. and can pair him with Wiggins...
Flip will definitely like Wiggins and will like the veteran presense of Deng...

this was tweeted last month:
"Source who spoke with KLove says he would definitely "100 pct" stay in Cleveland longterm if LeBron is there" - Chris Broussard

In order for the Cavs to have enough room to sign LeBron, they will have to renounce their Bird rights to Deng.  They cannot sign-and-trade him, because doing so requires his Bird rights.  They could, it's true, sign-and-trade him prior to getting LeBron, but in that case, the salary that they brought back (Love in this scenario) would be in the way for signing LeBron, so it doesn't work.

I think if LeBron goes to the Cavs, it's more likely he wants Carmelo than Love, for a few reasons.

1. The Cavs would likely have to give up less talent in a sign and trade for Melo. Melo can straight out walk from the Knicks - the Cavs might be able to get him without giving up Wiggins by offering a couple decent vet players instead. In any Love deal they would absolutely have to give up Wiggins.

2. It would allow James and Melo to float around in positions on the court. They could each play some SF, PF and in LeBron's case some off guard - more versatility.

If Lebron to Cavs
Then Love to Boston, Carmelo to Cavs.

Consider it a done deal. Love already said he would re-sign in Cleveland if they landed bron. Cavs can beat every other teams offer.  There is a reason why wiggins hasn't signed his contract yet.  Lock it in.

Irving/Lebron/love is a better big 3 than the one Miami had... And Irving/love both have another decade in them at least... Irving is 22.

Cavs dynasty.  Start prepping to be relevant in 2028.

Why? There is no rule that there can only be one relevant team at a time. Our rebuil may not be as fast as getting Love to pair with Rondo, but there is no reason to despair because of a potential Love-Lebron-Irving combo. That team would still have done legit weaknesses

True... Maybe Marcus smart, ben mclemore and our 2015 top 5 pick will develop into stars. There's always hope.

r u trolling? cuz even tho ur scenario is very possible it isnt the only one available. if lebron goes to miami that pretty much erases ur comment ur pessimism, ur sarcasm, and ur exaggeration.

LarBrd just has a sky is falling cloud that follows him around. Every worse case scenario is the scenario he believes.  :)

That trumps anything the Celtics could offer the minny for KLove....where's the bridge.

At some point, don't they have to think about team structure.  I mean, I know Melo, Bron, and Wiggins are all great talents but they also are all small forwards.

That would be beautiful. Wiggins at SG, LeBron at SF and Melo at PF.

Playing them together would not be a problem. Wiggins is a SF/SG. Melo a SF/PF. LeBron can play one through four. Cleveland would have no problems playing the three of them together and alongside Kyrie Irving too.

So much speed, firepower and versatility.

They would be beastly offensively with Irving/James/Love but they'd have a hard time matching Miami's D.  Varejao's not what he was, and Love/Irving are both very weak defenders.  Adding guys like Miller and Ray obviously wouldn't help the D.
