Just heard on NBA Summer League that ESPN is reporting that Cs interested in Stephenson. I'm thinking if this could be part of a Kevin Love package. Can't find anything on ESPN though.

Chris Broussard ?@Chris_Broussard 17m

In addition to Dallas & Lakers, Boston also showing interest in Lance Stephenson, source said

His personality worries me as does his fit with the current players. If Rondo is traded a 3 guard rotation of Lance. AB and Smart would be a strange mix. Though they would be physical.

My gut feeling is that DA is just putting feelers out to any FA he can with the possibility that he brings one in at a discount. In doing so bolstering the Cs over all talent.

they have to consider it.  he's super talented and young.   and the celtics are desperate to improve.   he seems like a knucklehead though.

Perfect fit. Another stout wing defender & he's better than Bazemore, who Ainge likes as well.

Ainge, always making it interesting.

I'm not sure I understand why Stephenson is interesting.

We have plenty of guards, so unless we make a trade in which we include one of our guards, then I can't see any reasoning in signing Stephenson.

It's not that I don't like Stephenson, and I even think he could be a great supplement, but we would just use to much money on guards!

Just adds to the mix. Season doesn't start for awhile. Accumulate as many assets as possible. Getting Stephenson makes him or others expendable in adding more to the roster.

Doesn't make sense unless Love is on the team

Stephenson would not fit as the roster is currently constructed. However, if we dealt Smart or Rondo it would make sense.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

He's a 23 year old All Star. It makes sense regardless

Exactly. I brought his name up on the "relentless pursuit of Love" on the main page yesterday. I think he is someone we definitely have to consider at this point. As I mentioned on the main page, Indy S&T Stephenson, Boston trades Green and the Clippers 1st next year for him. Fair deal for both sides. Then wait until the offseason next year or wait until the trade deadline when the Wolves are floundering and we have more leverage for a deal for Love.

well considering our draft selections, resigning bradley, and rondo still being here, it still can be kind of a head scratcher.

I refuse to add to the Love speculation, the deal seems pretty dead, but its as if a full rebuild is still kind of on the bottom shelf with Ainge

Only way it makes sense if we are trading Smart and others for Love, I don't think Stephenson is leaving a the Pacers in the weak east to go to a lottery team like Boston ( unless they land love ).

PG: Rondo
SG: Stephenson
SF: Green
PF: Love
 C: ?

Lance is unhappy with the money they're offering in Indy...Could he be happy in Minnesota at near the max? Minnesota needs a '2' and Stephenson is one of the best seemingly available...Just food for thought, but DA, Bird & Flip all know each other well.

Also, no thanks with Stephenson. Guy has always been immature and has had plenty of issues with teammates. I would NOT invest long-term in him.
