Very talented player with lots of upside and very immature.

Maybe a Rondo/LS swap.

Doesn't make sense unless Love is on the team

He's a 23 year old All Star. It makes sense regardless

Exactly. I brought his name up on the "relentless pursuit of Love" on the main page yesterday. I think he is someone we definitely have to consider at this point. As I mentioned on the main page, Indy S&T Stephenson, Boston trades Green and the Clippers 1st next year for him. Fair deal for both sides. Then wait until the offseason next year or wait until the trade deadline when the Wolves are floundering and we have more leverage for a deal for Love.

Why would Indy do this? It'd be insane.

And also, Jiri Welsch wins this thread.

Edit: And while I'll concede anything can happen, that Clipper pick figures to be like, #28.

Why would Indiana be interested in Green when their best player naturally plays the same position?

1st things first. How would the C's even acquire Lance? Larry would match anything we could offer if we generated cap room. Sign and trade .. . .for what? Not Rondo.

I don't see Lance happening.

This could work for the trade exception.  This is probably the best we are going to do with that.  23 year old all stars don't come around all of the time, and, if things don't work out, this is a very tradeable asset.

That would be the only thing that makes sense. Lance is a bigger version of Rondo not need to have them on the same team.

Rondo/Wallace/Sullinger for Lance and Hibbert

Sign Love in the offseason to a max contact as a free agent.

(PG) Smart, Pressey
(G) Stephenson, Bradley
(SF) Green, Young, Johnson
(PF) Love, Bass, Olynyk
(C) Hibbert, Faverani, Iverson

No idea if this works as the espn nba trade machine isnt working for some teams right now...(Has all the pacers players listed at $0.)

Would be a fun team to watch until smart and stephenson get in a fistfight and Love demands a trade.  ;D

Asked this in the summerleague thread...

Did anyone watch the full broadcast of the game?  Someone on twitter mentioned that Isiah told a story about how he was talking to Larry Bird today and Bird ignored Ainge when he walked by.

Wondering if anyone has a better recounting of what Isiah said.  I guess he was suggesting that Bird was mad at Ainge for targeting Lance.

Bird might be upset because Ainge put feelers out on Stevenson as Isiah put it.

Sounds like Bird... and Ainge.

Didn't hear, sorry.

That would be a very, very good basketball team.

I think it would be quite similar to Pacers team of last two years. Fearsome defensively and terrific rebounding wise. Offensive, more middle of the pack. Lacking a bit in direction from guard play but have multiple creators to work with. If Smart develops the right way, he could put it over the top in a couple of years. If not, only one move away (trading Smart).

I could see a Rondo for Stephenson swap.

Bird likes Rondo and Ainge is showing interest in Stephenson.

Makes sense.

Isiah was joking around.  I don't think there is anything there.

We wouldn't have the cap room to sign Love.

It'd be close. Trade Bass or Bradley to free up cap room.
