I am not a big Mayo fan especially with his weight gain but he would fill a role and a good seasn could raze his value in his contract year. The bigger talent grab in this deal is Henson. I think he can be special on the right team.
So basically we would be getting an overweight overpriced SG as our backup who would eat up minutes from Young and even Bradley and a temporary Center who is a backup C at best on a decent team for Rondo?? Throw in Jabari lol... And besides Rondo would never resign in Milwaukee...
Three team trade so Rondo would be going to Sac and obviously they would need some level of comfort that he would resign in order to do this deal. Mayo at 8mill isn't terribly over paid he obviously didn't handle the transition from playing with winning teams to a perennial looser very well. In a 6th man role behind Smart and AB I can see him getting to around 26-28 mpg and scoring around 13pts a game.
Henson I believe is much more then a backup center. He going into his 3rd season and has played in a less than ideal setting with the bucks and is only 23. His per 48 min stats are 20pt 13rb and 3 blks. Those are sold numbers compared to other starting big men Hibbert 17pt 11rb 3.6blk, M Gasol 21pt 10rb 2blk, P Gasol 26.5pt 15rb 2blk, Ibaka 22pt 13rb 4blk, Noah 17pt 15rb 2blk. KGs best year in boston he was 28pt 14rb 2blk. Granted some of these guys are fare superior passers to Henson but in terms of rebounds and blocks he is a great young option. Rim protecting bigs are the hardest players to come buy in the NBA thus increasing their value.
