Cody zeller has a max vert of 38". But you couldnt label him as explosive or anything.  How fast you can jump is more useful vs how high

What, exactly are you seeing that is showing you Marcus Smart lacks explosion? He plays a different game than Wade but I don't think he lacks anything in the explosion department.

What, exactly are you seeing that is showing you Marcus Smart lacks explosion? He plays a different game than Wade but I don't think he lacks anything in the explosion department.

He has solid jumping ability but not explosive.  Faried , aaron gordon, wiggins, derrick rose, westbrook are explosive jumpers

The question is does he get to do so in a Celtics uniform or will he be traded early like Chauncey Billups.

Smart is NEVER going to be a great shooter. Never. But so what bc the kid gets to the rim and if he can do that then he will be ok. Westbrook rose and even wall to an extent are all still more then capable scorers bc they attack. They get to the bucket and get to the line. That is how smart will be an effective scorer.

You really can't reteach mechanics at this point. So don't expect him to be ray.

But smart gets to the bucket. He's also a complimentary player. He's not designed to be a number one go to scorer so get that idea out of our heads.

I very much doubt Smart will be Dwyane Wade (arguably the best shooting guard in the last 30 years outside of MJ and Kobe). He might end up as Wade post 2009, though.

People also said Jason Kidd and Gary paryton would never be great shooters. it depends on your definition of great, but I feel that Marcus can become a very good shooter. Like Many in the Celtics organization have said, he's a better shooter than perceived and has good mechanics(except for the dip). Its not like he shot 50% from ft, he shot 77% and 71% in his 2 college seasons ....so we at least have something to work with.....have faith friend

Wade has a 6'10.75 wingspan. Marcus Smart a 6'9.25. 1.5 inches.

Man Ray Allen arguably the most clutch player of all time.  That game was unreal.  That entire series was unreal.  All he really needs to send in for his hall of fame reel is that Bulls series and the Miami 3-pointer.  Game over.  Legendary.
