Gordon Hayward seems to be a guy who is legitimately capable of playing SG/SF.  I get the sense that many people who watch him think he is a natural SF who is currently capable of playing SG but will eventually become mainly a SF as he ages.

I'm probably uninterested in him at the contract size that would make Utah reconsider the idea of matching.

Im not a big fan of Hayward but seems like a lot of ppl on here are..

He's a restricted free agent, talented, young, and close to Stevens, it makes sense.

I would take Heyward over Green.  Do the Celtics still have a trading partner for Green.

Can Hayward play the 3?

I don't see why not.  He's big and skilled enough.

Smart, Young, Hayward, Olynyk, and Sullinger.

I would enjoy watching that team play.

That's a 22-win team if I have ever seen one.

But he will enjoy it.

Lose for Okafor.  Going down for Towns.  Put the season on the burner for Turner.  ;D  It's coming  :'(

Jeff Green gets a flock for the price tag he is carrying. Isn't Hayward worse if we are going to get him? I think Utah will match any offer for Hayward.

I don't get the fascination for this guy. Sure, he is Brad's boy in Butler, but he have almost identical stats compared to Jeff Green and his price wouldn't be anything cheaper than Green. If anything I'd rather trade Green for Monroe since center is a much needed position to fill.

Hayward is worth more than Rondo - and it is very doubtful he is looking for $100M

Everyone wants truth on his side, not everyone wants to be on the side of truth.

I like Hayward as much as the next guy but the Jazz aren't letting him go for nothing.  If we have to give up a bunch of assets AND give him a max contract (not crazy for a guy coming off his rookie deal but still a substantial amount of money), I'd rather just hang on to Green.

Green is the king of the lopsided stat line.  Great if you need a pure scorer on the floor and a guy to defend, not so great if you want some rebounds, assists and consistency.

I don't see how Hayward is worth more than Rondo.

id rather hang on to Green and give him a chance to improve his stock/value. We all know he has the tools.

Don't get me wrong, I think Hayward is a fine player.  But by definition, you sign restricted free agents only by overpaying, which by definition (again), is a bad idea.

I love him.  He's better than any player the C's have now.

I like him too.

I would like to see him play for the Cs, if he can play SF.
