So tell me what you guys think? I say for us especially if we are looking for the rebuild this would give us alot of young talent (monroe 23) and our frontcourt depth would be awesome. I think Smart and Stauskas would be a nasty pairing as well. Wed obviously need to bring in some fa's at SF.
I think all teams win here. Detroit needs to get rid of smith but they use monroe to do it. They get alot of salary relief and a future first + mclemore. They will be big players in the 2015 FA class.
Sacremento gets all the star power they can handle but also get the nitty gritty MKG to do the dirty work. Theres no denying that Rondo,MKG,Gay,Smith, Cousins would be a load for teams to handle.
Charlotte will no longer lack shooting. They will have go to offensive options at positions 1-5. While a thomas walker backcourt wouldnt be ideal defensively (bradley helps) they would be terrors on offense, the fast break, and the pick and roll. They can both handle and could easily combine for 12-13 asts per game. I think not being the focal point of the offense will help green expand his game as well.
So tell me what do you guys think about this really? I honestly think this is a win win for every team involved.
