he'll end up signed on a contender as a backup PG most likely.  won't be for than 2-3 mill a year at most.

Massive overstatement.  Nelson's not that bad.  He's a backup at this point in his career, but he's a very solid, capable backup.
Hes pretty bad now. Magic were such a bad team his stats didn't decline as much as they would have elsewhere.

He's a small guard who's now too slow and is reliant on just chucking 3s, but he's not a great shooter either.

Sure, Jameer's declined, but to the extent that he's worse than FIFTY POINT GUARDS in the league, though?  Nah, he can still hit the 3 at a respectable level, run the pick and roll, and facilitate an offense to an adequate degree.
