not a big surprise here

Nelson will be picked up by someone. He will be a good backup pg. He shouldn't be a starter imo

Norris Cole and Mario Chalmers are both already better than Jameer Nelson.

I actually feel bad for Jameer. There aren't many people who would willingly stay in Orlando for the duration of their careers.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Well I don't blame him considering he probably can't find the same role on many teams right now.

Norris Cole had a pretty terrible year and an even worse playoffs.  I'm willing to give Jameer the benefit of the doubt of being better than Cole, even with his obvious decline.

Pheonix are definitely one team that is not in need of a PG

I always thought he'd be a good backup pg for rondo and now that he is released we have smart.  He'll be picked up by someone looking for a vet backup pg.  He is no longer starter material.

I think there are 45-50 PGs who are better than Jameer Nelson nowadays. So I would say Jameer is a below average backup PG.

Massive overstatement.  Nelson's not that bad.  He's a backup at this point in his career, but he's a very solid, capable backup.

He can play good for spurts.   He is just too old I guess, he can't bring the energy for a whole game anymore and just coasts though the game .  The twenty year s just wear him out quick and score like crazy .  He can go off ...but problem is so,does the opponent , he can't stop my grandmother by the third he is wore slap out.

He could give a contender a few good minutes during a game to rest their starter.
