Unless teams are making a concerted effort to tank and come in last place there will definitely be no interest in Bass. However, if teams are looking to get much much worse then yes there may be interest in Bass, who as we all know is truly terrible on an epic level.

I just had a nice exchange with Tom Sorensen, Charlotte Observer sportswriter, about the draft and any possible Hornets interest in Bass and/or Green.  He has not heard any interest and says they like MKG.  (I don't know why as he simply CANNOT score or defend strong players like Lebron!!)

I wonder if we could see a trade of Bass or Green AND Jame Young for Bismack Biyombo and Vonleh.  He said that Biz is OUT of the rotation now, but that he thinks the Hornets intend to keep Vonleh.  I wish we could trade Green and Young for Vonleh and Biz!!!!!

Thoughts??

Yes, I absolutely love the idea of starting Gerald Wallace at SF :)

Note:  Yes, I'm being sarcastic.

Not sure the Celtics have much use for either of those players. Young is a better prospect given the Celtics Roster at this point in time. Young is the only SG under contract at the moment Babb and Johnson are both team options.

I disagree.

I suspect that Vonleh will be an All-Star (or if not, a borderline All-Star) 2-3 years from now.  I wouldn't be too shocked if Embiid ends up ruined due to injury, and Vonleh ends up the best big man from this draft (over Randle, who I syspect will be a major bust).

The Celtics had their chance at Vonleh and they said "No thanks"...

For what its worth on the Hornets trade

This trade would work but sure C's would have to throw in a 2016 first and the 2015 Clippers first.

I thought New Orleans was interested. He went to LSU, too. Think they'd be interested in Bass as a F off the bench.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

Biyombo seems to be Joel Anthony 2.0.  I'm not sure why people think he's going to be much better than that.
Physical talent

Biyombo has already had more statistical success in the NBA then Joel Anthony and he is only 21. Anthonys best season he played 21mpg and averaged 3pt 4rb and 1.3blk. Last season was Biyombo's worst in 3 years in the NBA and he played 14mpg with 3pts 5rb and 1.1 blks per. He is in the upper tier from physically gifted bigs in the NBA but still needs a lot of development.

I would absolutely try to swing a trade for Biyombo.

I think Vonleh has a good chance of becoming a decent player but is nonetheless overrated. Here's an interesting take:

"I don?t think I have written anything about Vonleh yet in spite of him perpetually being on the top 10 of my big board.  He has good stats, solid tools, enough skills, and is super young so this earns him a top 10 slot.  But he?s overall a fairly bland prospect.  He?s not a rim protector, he?s a weak finisher, he has bad hands, and he has a horrible assist to turnover ratio.  His main appeal lies in his small sample 3 point shooting where he made 16/33 attempts.  It?s nice to get a stretch 4 who can rebound and possibly play solid defense, but I struggle to see how he becomes a top 15 player and he has plenty of bust risk.  In my eyes his upside is David West with 3 point range.  That?s not a bad upside, and I like Vonleh considerably more than Julius Randle. But I think it would be a big mistake to take Vonleh over Marcus Smart or Aaron Gordon, and I also favor international bigs Jusuf Nurkic and Clint Capela."

Would never happen.  The Hornets are on to something and could be decent next year if Vonleh contributes.

Clint and Jusuf are not better than Vonleh. I would really like to know more about these character concerns. Austin Ainge's cousin played on the same AAU team as Vonleh......I bet that little snitch said something

IIIIFFFF Vonleh contributes. Maybe we could structure a deal with J Green going to CHA and them sending Vonleh back.

I have been making my case for Vonleh. I have a summer place on Newfound Lake NH which NewHampton prep is the next town....and they are all really small towns. So I have known about him for awhile. And when he gained 35lbs of muscle before his freshman year of college I knew he would be a stud.
Anyway he has great tools to become a great player, he is the second youngest in the draft!

Ainge should move on from Green and Bass if it doesn't require giving up assets or taking back any salary.

You simply do NOT naturally put on 35lbs. of muscle.  That is insane.  I would love to know MORE about his supplement plan:-))))
