Hopefully Danny doesn't trade Rondo. I would still target Gasol and Melo. They have the ammo to do it and quite frankly Wallace has an expiring contract the same year Durant goes on FA. This isn't done yet Boston will be in the playoffs this year because it's necessary to keep Rondo.

I'm also really happy with the picks, I always loved Smart and Young seems like a steal at 17, great scorer.

I can hardly wait to see Smart, Young, Green, Olynyk, and Sullinger playing together.

That will get you about 15 wins in this league? Honestly......

Smart, Young, still have our future draft picks, and Rondo wasn't traded.

Solid evening.

Loved our picks. Love Smart's passion and Young's potential. I really do think Smart will be an all-star. Would shock me if he wasn't.

Back into the tank we go for another year. Maybe we will be able to get the #1 pick next year and get the big man we need. If Marcus Smart is the point guard of the future with this team...... :o. I like Young at 17 though.

I agree that the tank is on the horizon for a second year for us.

The problem is that we have already lost the tank battle as that scum Philly gm who out-tanked us last year already has us out-tanked this year.

No Embiid, no Saric to play.

This has been a very depressing night.

The coin flip with Utah cost us Exum. The cHeat got a binky  of mine in Nappier. As Simmons said, " why is everyone helping the cHeat!?!?" Players with real potential are going in the second round and all we can do is watch.

This really sucks.

What is Ainge being thanked for?  Are we thanking Danny for positioning the Celtics to be the 2014-2015 version of the 2013-2014 76ers?

He failed to make a move, and was forced to stand pat.  AT #6, He was stuck with a consolation pick who is certainly not an upgrade at his position, and he took a project at #17.  If this leads to him trading Green and Rondo, and going all in for the #1 pick in next year's draft, I can see people thanking him.  Otherwise, though, what's there to thank him about?

When people are free to do as they please, they usually imitate each other.

Ainge has lost his touch---he has players that NOBODY wants...and nobody wants to deal with him anyway....I have not been this disappointed in a long time...Nothing done @ the trade deadline---a crappy draft...no moves...and I PROMISE you---this team will let that TPE expire, without using it---they do not care, they're still selling season tickets--and made a lot of money from that Cable TV deal.

Chill people... Anyone Remember all the concern after we got ray Allen...only to find out that other moves were to follow. The players I wanted were already gone by the time we picked.

Let's be upset once all the moves are made after July 1... Until then,  chill out.

As Wyc said it takes two to make a trade. Flip obviously can't pull the trigger on a Love trade and free agency isn't over so I wouldn't count the Celtics out just yet. Teams want Rondo but he just isn't willing to resign with them which makes me think he plans on resigning either way, if not he will tell us he's leaving if we don't land a star, we end up trading him before the deadline. I much rather see how Smart, young, Olynyk and Sully play next season appose to drastically overpaying for Kevin Love. While these players mature we will be in a very good position over the next 2-3 years to make some major plays with our cap space, if we don't do any deals before the trade deadline. Get a top 5 draft pick next year and draft the best center available. Not to mention we will still have Brooklyn's first rounders, who knows what those turn into if we keep them.

I haven't been this happy about a draft since we took Pierce with the 10th pick.

I am so sick of us being the 90lb weakling.

We got a bigger and stronger point guard and a bigger and stronger shooting guard.

Now trade Rondo for a big.

Well with this team built like it is currently, its gonna be another year of developing young players and losing basketball games.

At least the bruins will still be pretty good.
