This is why teams in trade talks don't view Sully as a great chip. Back problems and weight problems. Last year he was recovering from back surgery, this year he is out of shape right now because of an ankle? I'm sorry when your a professional athlete in your early 20's with trainers and chefs at your finger tips, while being paid millions to be in shape to perform, you SHOULD NOT BE FAT!
imagine if you had chefs, trainers, and dieticians at your disposal, and a salary partially based on how fit you are.

While it would certainly be great for Sully to be fit, it's not the end of the world to weigh 280 lbs. Sir Charles weighed around 280 at some point in his career and still dominated.

I'd wager that their body fat %'s were a little bit different. Sir Charles also had a six pack in his career (which is an indication of lower BF%). True, he didn't have great fitness for his whole career, but uncoincidentally his best play came when he was in his best shape.

Great (sarcasm).  Trade him to the Lakers with the tpe for #7 before he eats his way out of the league, quick!  Yeah, like they'll go for that ::)  We don't need the next coming of Dinner Bell Mel.

This is the summer that will make or break the early part of Sullinger's career. He'll either be an overweight, low minute borderline starter. Or he will get in shape and start becoming the player many of us think he can become.

Change isn't going to happen in a couple weeks. It will take the entire summer. Summer is just getting started.

He should shoot for 300.  Then lucky can impersonate him in a fat suit like the gorilla in PHO did to Oliver Miller  ;D

Then Sully can be like Barkley with no hops
