Wasn't all the hype supposed to be for 2015 Summer anyway?

I know, free agency hasn't even started, but whatever hype that began for this season was for the draft. With the way it has been in the for the past couple of weeks now, I don't think anything is happening on draft night.

As I said, I am not trying to be that guy who says negative stuff, but it really doesn't look like anything will happen.

Saying "fireworks will happen" is different than anything big actually happening. We were very lucky that the stars had aligned when we got KG and Allen. I don't think it's happening again this year.

I guess Celtics will be picking for themselves in the draft tomorrow or possibly trade Rondo, as sad as it would be. :(

Agreed.

The most likely scenario is Boston picking #6 and #17.
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

This draft and the offseason for that matter is unpredictable. You're right something may not happen, but I really think that the Celtics will be working hard to change the team and they the assets to do so.

Agreed... and the #6 pick being Embiid isn't likely either.  It will prob be Gordon or smart.

Too add on what I just said, what makes you think nothing will happen? Is it a feeling? Or you are just trying to temper your excitement?

I would answer by saying that a large percentage of trade rumors never happen.  So I always bet on no trade.

Excitement about what?  Getting Love is an unlikely scenario.  Embiid isn't falling out of the Top 4.  Boston probably decides to hang onto Rondo.  THere's potential for stuff to happen, but it's foolish to expect it.  Lots of scenarios will be considered tomorrow, but the most likely scenario remains Boston keeping #6 and #17... and getting someone like Gordon with their top pick.  It'll be fine, though.  Whoever Danny takes at #6 will probably be a solid prospect.  Ainge knows what he's doing.

I agree, so many rumors are out there because GM's are posturing to see what they can get. Many won't pull the trigger and Danny shouldn't do anything stupid just to make a move. I want Love here but not for the farm. If there is no deal to be made I won't be mad at Ainge because he has worked every angle.
I don't think its the end of the world if no trades are made and they make their picks. they still have a boatload of picks moving forward to make another deal at another time and will have more cap room in 2015. Who know maybe one of the players they draft turns into an all-star and a solid player. It sure won't hurt to have those chips moving forward as well.

Yeah, this could be like the last trade deadline: Lots of talk, little action.

What I mean is to get excited for all the hype only to have them dashed. Don't act all shocked if Embiid drops out of the top 5, considering that back and stress fractures are chronic. Love may be a possibility since he rejected a deal with the Cavs. Anything I just don't think that the most likely scenario is that the Celtics will stay put this summer.

A lot of the action happens during the offseason anyway. Don't expect major acquisitions in the trade deadline.

Pretty much everyone I talk to is indicating that the Celtics are down to Randle or Smart at #6. Gordon seemingly third. Vonleh not in mix.

Even if its quiet this year, we WILL see fireworks at least before the start of the 2015-2016 season.  Big things are coming, just gotta be patient.

I've come to the same conclusion. While it would be awesome to snag Embiid at 6 and Saric at 17, it's also a little depressing to know we won't see either for a while and might lose Rondo in the process.

It's all good, though. All of the wild rumors have created an emotional roller coaster. Worst case we get two very nice prospects at 6 and 17.

I trust Trader Danny!
