Sixers reportedly receive Embiid?s medical records. Further indication they may not let him fall past three.

Don't panic, we'll see if they choose him.

i don't really think it indicates anything other than the obvious.  Every team is going to want his medical records and any team that is comfortable with them is going to draft him.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
It's risky from a Cs perspective, but if the Sixers pass, surely Orlando and Utah will, as well, right? I mean if Wiggins and Parker are gone and a super-tank team like Philly has no interest while having access to his records, then the slide should begin...I will be ecstatic if we get Embiid.

What the heck for?  For a guy that's 19, has barely played any basketball, and has already had two injuries?  Ever heard of Greg Oden?

Don't forget, the Sixers have talked about acquiring #7 from LA.  This could be as much about #7 as #3.

Greg Oden's legs were different lengths which may very well have contributed to both knees shattering.  Embiid has a broken foot.  It's a much different situation.  There is reason to be concerned about Embiid, but his talent is undeniable.

Somebody needs to do their first youtube search for Joel Embiid, and then do a google search for "Celtics' draft needs".

No way they take embiid over exum. Exum could easily be the best player out of this draft in five years.

Sam Hinkie likes Outback steakhouse and I'm pretty sure Exum gets a 10% discount there so theres that.

I read somewhere that the Sixers new head coach has a long history with Exum from Australia and knows him and his game very well. I believe it also said that he coached Dante's father in Australia.

Haha, ditto.  If they do take Exum over Embiid, perhaps the 76ers could come out with a line like - Here in Philadelphia, We Love to go Big (with point guards)  ;)  Personally, I've always wondered why the Spurs didn't do something similar with Dunkin Donuts - San Antonio Runs on Duncan ;)

Sidebar - taking Australians to Outback Steakhouse is priceless ;D

That's correct, Brett Brown coached Cecil Exum while he was at the North Melbourne Giants.
