what would it take to get the number 1??  6, 17 + Green and Brooklyn protected pick? maybe Bogans? what would a trade look like?

Not sure what the future drafts hold .....seems that with a boatload of picks next few years he could combine Green , other players and get them to,bite.

Does anybody think we could try and trade Rondo + picks to the Cavs where they would flip him to somebody?

6, 17, unprotected 2015, unprotected Brooklyn pick and Sullinger, maybe.  Plus or minus one asset.

Getting #1 would require a bizarre chain of events.

- Embiid's medical records alleviating Cleveland's concerns about adding him

-  Teams like Orlando and Utah bizarrely passing on Embiid knowing that the Cavs want him...

-  Embiid falling to #6 (EXTREMELY unlikely)

-  The Kings actually agreeing to trade Mclemore and #8 for a Rondo rental

Trading Embiid + #8 + Probably another future 1st to land the top pick.  I don't see how else we beat the rumored Utah and Orlando offers.

DA should convince Cleveland that a two PG backcourt of Rondo and Irving would work out well.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Ok so if rumors are to be belived then this is what we know

Magic offered 4,12, and Afflalo for #1

Cavs asked Phili for #3,#10,#32

best I can see the Cs doing is trading Rondo for #8 then offering #6,#8, #17 and Jeff Green for #1 and #33. (take parker #1, Nick Johnson #33)

I would then expect a trade back into the 1st to try to land Ennis or Napier. Another possibility would be to wait till after the draft and make a move using the TPE for Lin.

2014-15 Cs

PG Lin
SG AB (resigned)
SF Parker
PF Sully
C ??
Wallace
KO
Rookie PG (Ennis?
N Johnson
C Johnson

just a thought....

IMO that is just way to much for the 1st pick. If Tim Duncan was in this draft than yes, but I'm assuming Parker would be the target because he is a legit scorer but nobody is saying he's a superstar.

If CLE takes the PHI trade for #1, I wonder if they'd be interested in Jeff Green (and maybe #17 if it were necessary) for #10 so we could draft Stauskas.  I'd love to find a way to get a versatile sniper like him on the team.

Probasketballdraft @Probballdraft  ?  6m
Cavs dealing with 76ers and Celtics regarding trade of 1st pick, according to sources.

Danny trying to get that #1 for Minny--?
there's no way on the planet we are getting #1 for minny. It would be for ourselves to get jabari parker (or Wiggins), whichever Danny prefers..

Agree .  Total rebuild starting with this pick

I'd rather have Kevin Love than the no 1 pick.

You know what you're getting with Love.

You don't know what you're getting with Parker or Wiggins (or whoever from the draft.)

And Cavs aint trading out of the Top 4 unless they know they are getting Embiid.  WHich isn't happening, because Philly is probably taking Embiid.

You seem sure of this. Why? Is this some type of reverse jynx?

Woj said there is a tremendous chance Philly takes him at 3.  He also said he's in play at 6 for the Celts.  My dream of getting the next Olajuwon is still alive... for about another hour.
