If Utah is willing to give you Favors Burks and the 5 for the number 1. Why not offer Sully 6 and 17 and maybe a future Clippers pick for a shot at Parker or Wiggins. This draft maybe a once in a lifetime draft. We have the assets to do it go get it.

I can see going for Parker as he seems NBA ready.

As for Wiggins, personally I am not interested.

I see him as more of a long-term project than a player who can contribute in the next couple years.

If I am the Cavs, I pick Parker.

Though Utah's offer is somewhat enticing.

I love the idea of trading up for Parker. Honestly I'm not too sure why there hasn't been more talk of trading up. The short rebuild is looking less and less likely with Melo to the Bulls rumors, so why not take the long road and try to trade the Clippers, 6th and 17th for the 1st. If thats not good enough add in some players, maybe sign and trade AB.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

If this is a "once in a lifetime draft" (it's not)  then why in the world would someone let the top picks go in the first place?

Hands down I agree you have to take a shot some where. You don't win NBA Titles by not going after the best.

If no Love or Melo, then grab Embiid at 6 and trade up for Parker or Wiggins

Would you rather just sit and do nothing?

We tried.  Danny traded away two hall of famers, that lemon named jason terry, and Doc left.  What more could he have reasonably done?  I'm not high on Wiggins, either, but we don't have enough to get Parker, imo.  I never thought that it was going to a quick rebuild.  If Embiid's medical checks out and he's somehow still there, then you have to take him, but since that's not going to happen, maybe Embiid, by sliding through no fault of his own, could help us get Smart.  Who knows?

Beat LA  you dont think we have enough assets to get the Parker at number 1? 9 picks over 5 years and young talent is plenty enough to get a conversation started. Not saying Danny has not done a thing. All I am saying is why not go for it all and atleast see what it would take.

Oh, I agree with going for it, I just don't think we have anything besides picks to offer the Cavs because guys like KO and Sully aren't quite there yet, in terms of being the centerpiece of a blockbuster or something, but what do I know?  Besides, why would you trade for picks if you're Cleveland when you've won the lottery 3 times in 4 years.  Yeah, that's legitimate ::)  I mean, I know Lebron left and all, but come on.  That's just crap, imho.

Jazz offer is better. That's why.

Because they think embiid will be there for them at 5

Nah I think the Celtics offer can match the Jazz.

It'll be foolish for them to trade down and take on a injury prone big man. Get Parker/Wiggins.

Maybe.  Or maybe in 6 months they get a dominant center and look genius for the next 15 years.

Also, could be they reroute their assets to trade for Love
