Ain't nothing but a chicken wing.  Not worried.  Easily fixable.  Good for Ron.

Supposedly he left because he wants to be part of a playoff team. Guessing the likelihood of us getting Love isn't so good. I'm sure he was privy to the our plans so to me this says a lot.

That's the second time in three years that somebody pulled a Ray Allen-esque move in the summer from Boston.

What about the 2 years left on his contract?

I'm really disappointed. He was a great assistant.

Perhaps, but when I read this it really makes me wonder...

According to a league source, top assistant Ron Adams will interview for a place on Steve Kerr's Golden State staff Tuesday, after the Celtics granted the Warriors permission to talk with the veteran right hand man. Adams, at the age of 65 and after a wealth of assistant NBA experience that has included stops in Chicago, Oklahoma City and Philadelphia, is said to be making a decision about the final years of his coaching career. Finishing up that long career with a contending team obviously has appeal.

I mean, sure, but...  The Golden State job is open now.  They have a contending roster as is.  It's very clear the Celtics do not yet.  Maybe moves will happen that will change that, but maybe they won't.  That might not sort itself out for three more weeks.  He's also been here only a year -- if he'd been here 5 years, I'd be more concerned, but after a very long career, it's not like a year in Boston should make him undyingly loyal to them.  He's under contract, yes, but assistant coaches change frequently, and I'd be surprised if ability to leave this year wasn't verbally agreed to when he signed on last-minute last summer.

It sounds possible that Adams was doing a bit of a favor to Brad Stevens after becoming friends due to his daughter attending Butler.  I suspect that they went into this with the understanding that it might be a one-year gig.

How old are you, just curious?  Have you been in the workforce and changed jobs before, maybe changed cities for jobs?  He's not a player making millions of dollars.  He's an assistant coach.  A very good one, but still an assistant coach.  He probably puts in ridiculous hours, and he just wants a different situation than the one he has.  No more, no less.  There's no reason to insult a guy who's just doing a job.

I get wanting a better shot at winning but what makes GSW all that? They are in the west, the top teams in the west are ALL young and good except the Spurs. I don't care if they get Love, I don't see them going past the 2nd round... are you really telling me we can't do at least the same in the worse conference with changes to the roster??

Winning isn't the reason because it doesn't make sense... there has to be something else. If winning is the reason, he must know that we don't have a chance for years to come.

If it isn't about winning, the only other things are:

wants to be with a friend
doing a favor
doesn't get along with personnel
wants to do more

Those are some things I can think of but maybe there is something else? Seriously, can anyone else think of something that makes sense besides winning? Just doesn't add up. I hope the truth isn't scandalous.
