Well, Rondo seems to think Melo is going to join the celtics based on all of his public comments so far.

How could Melo ever play with Kobe?  Now that would be a disaster ;D  I thought he'd stay with the Knicks, as well.  Here's the link to the story, btw -

Saw it coming.  Staying with the Knicks would've been a terrible decision.

I read he's interested in Bulls or Rockets. Good choices for him, IMO. Maybe this means we can land Asik for just the TPE.

^^^ That is until we land Love.  KG wasn't thinking about Boston as well before Judas came to town.  I truly believe that once the domino of Love falls, everything else is [dang] near piece of cake.  No way Melo would see a tandem of Rondo and Love (and BS to a lesser extent) and not take a second look at the Celtics.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Houston or houston, maybe Houston for Melo if I'm betting on it. it's the best place to go.

How do we get him though? Won't we need to create the cap space tied into Gerald Wallace? Lol

I keep seeing people against signing Melo but who would you rather us get? He and Love are our best available options.

I can only imagine the kind of conversations going on right now between Love, Melo, Lebron, Wade, Bosh, even Rose/Curry/Rondo to some extent. I bet they are just texting each other trying to figure out whos gonna get left off the next super team.

Great point. I hope this dynamic doesn't catch on too much. The NBA will end up with 3 or 4 superpowers. That will be terrible for the league.
