Late lottery = 10-14th pick. Which undervalues Sully in my estimation.
I think Sully's trade value would be higher if Coach Stevens hadn't kept limiting his court time last year in order to play inferior players. Due to that, I think Sully's trade value can be a lot higher in 12 months time if he gets the playing time from CBS that Sully deserves.
Sullinger had 33 games last season where he had 4 or more fouls. But I'm sure that if not for Stevens, he'd have been a veritable juggernaut.
He has his flaws but he's one of 14 players in the last 10 years to average 13/8 in his first or second year. He's not a lock to be a star but he's not the dime-a-dozen player that people are claiming.
I don't think people are concerned about him being a "dime-a-dozen" player, I think they're worrying about him being Tractor Traylor with a pinch of Antoine mixed in for flavor.
In other words, between the fouls, the weight, the back, and the chance of developing a love affair with the three-point shot, there is enough material to make a reasonable fan not overreact to the 13/8. And that's before even bringing in the fact that he can't get off the ground to save his life.
