Just say I am not re-signing with anyone else . I mean if he really wants to play here, wouldn't it be that easy ?

I agree.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Who told you that Love really wants to play here?  The fact that he used Boston to make a point to the Minnesota management doesn't mean squat.

I think it is becoming obvious that Boston wants Love more than Love wants Boston. I think this applies for a bunch of other teams as well.

What makes you think that because Danny isn't showing his hand giving them our full offer already? We will offer more than just KO and a couple picks expect things to swing again as we get closer still think we got a good shot

Doesn't that pretty much back up my point? Boston wants Love. A lot of other teams want Love, likely just as bad (whether they have a competitive offer is up for debate). However, it seems like all Love wants is to be on a winning team and to be under management that knows what it's doing. The Celtics aren't the only well-run ship in this league.

So yes, in short, <insert team> wants Love more than Love wants them.

He's a California guy, his uncle is a beach boy, and he's a laker fan, so forcing his way here I'm sure is not at the top of his list. Let's be happy that he is even seriously considering Boston.

So he would rather play for a team that has a busted , over the hill Kobe taking up 25 mil in cap space, with no bench, no center, no reliable PG(Nash) ?

The C's have all the pieces to keep adding to the roster, and from the way Rondo talked yesterday, it sound like they would make a run at Melo  .

well, he might enjoy it in Golden State, which is also in Cali, where they won 51 games last year. Or even the Rockets, with Dwight+Harden. Or maybe even the Heat, lol. Instead of a Celtics team with Rondo and assets.

Face it, Boston is not the only attractive destination for Love.

Also why would he want to go out West ? If he really wants to have a shot in the Playoffs , the east is there for the taking in the next few years .

- Is a GSW core of Curry, Barnes,Love . Bogut  really a title contender? They wouldn't have any assets left to trade to add to it either.
- Houston doesn't have the chips to get him
- LA has nothing but an old Kobe

C's could have core of Rondo, Love, Asik/gortat , Melo

I don't think Melo is realistic for the C's

Curry, Barnes, Love, Bogut
vs.
Rondo, Bradley, Love, Asik

Seems to me that neither is a championship squad given the elite competition in either the East or West. Especially if Melo ends up in either Houston, Miami or LAC

Love is a Cali guy, but is he a Lakers fan?  The quote from the article below suggests otherwise.

Quote
And of his youth, Love once told Sports Illustrated in an interview, ?My dad likes to say when other kids were watching Big Bird, I was watching Larry Bird, and he was totally right.?

Fairweather, a former ESPN producer and radio co-host, found Love to be so interested in Celtics history that he gave him a 90-minute DVD that details the team?s illustrious past, a gift Fairweather said Love very much appreciated.

Love showed such reverence for Bird, Fairweather said, that at one point Love pointed out how he believes that Bird?s No. 33 ought to be retired by every team in the NBA. Love also said he planned on talking to fellow UCLA alumnus Bill Walton about what it was like playing for the Celtics.

even we don't get melo, they would still have a bunch of picks left to add to that core, and could create cap space in 2015

Or, maybe love will wait a year and then sign with the spurs.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
