I'm just interested to see who CelticsBlog likes best.  I'm not talking about for the Celtics (as obviously we don't have the number one pick), but just, generally speaking, which player do you think has a better chance of being a star.

Parker.

Safer pick and more NBA ready.  Wiggins may have a higher ceiling but he's also a higher risk to bust.

I still think Embiid has the most potential in the draft, but given his injury concerns I would probably take Wiggins, though if I'm Cleveland I would take Parker as he fills a much larger need.

I picked Parker before the season as the best prospect of the class.

I stand by this statement.

Wiggins.  He is and always will be a better defender than Parker.  Parker is a better offensive player now, but Wiggins has the higher ceiling.  His athleticism and body control are incredible.  His skills aren't too shabby either.

Andrew Wiggins.

Parker cannot play defense and will get blown by on a nightly basis. Wiggins is a freak of nature, unbelievable leaping ability, defense, really the whole package. He doesnt chuck the ball up to try and get more points, he usually makes the best basketball play.

If I'm Cleveland specifically, I probably take Parker. If I'm GENERIC FRANCHISE X, I probably go with Wiggins.

Don't you mean that if you're Cleveland you take Randle #1?  (ala the Anthony Bennett pick from last year) lol.

...and Dario Saric, taken by the Cavaliers with the #1 Pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, has announced a new 20 year contract to keep him the hell away from Cleveland.

Wiggins.  Higher ceiling and better defender.  More questions about whether he has the mentality to reach that ceiling, but I take the potential and defensive talent.

Parker. Paul Pierce 2.0

Everyone thinks Jabari is slow and un-athletic (remind you of someone?) and fall in love with Wiggins great measurables.

I'd put money down to anyone that Wiggins is the next Jeff Green, amazing talent, yet wildly inconsistent. He showed flashes of that at KU already.

From Cav's standpoint, I'll take Wiggins. They already have a ball dominant player in Kyrie Irving. I doubt Paker and Irving would mesh together. They could end up like Iverson and Melo on Dever. With Wiggins, Irving can dominate the ball all he want because Wiggins can also work off the ball and he is more than ready in the defensive end. Offensive improvement from Wiggins will be an icing on the cake.

I think Wiggins' passive play was largely due to the system Bill Self runs.  He had very little freedom.  The majority of time he had the ball in the half court offense, he was out on the wing facing a zone defense.  It will be much more open in the NBA.  He does need to work on his ball handling though.
