And here it is:

Birdman trades Goran Dragic to
Ubuntu trades #8 and #25

Championship move right there fellas.

2015/16 Projections (UPDATE):

PG Mike Conley       34ppg
PG Reggie Jackson    38ppg
SG Joe Johnson       26ppg
SG Jarret Jack       25ppg
SF Rudy Gay          43ppg
SF Paul Millsap      38ppg
PF David West        28ppg
PF Patrick Patterson 27ppg
C  DeMarcus Cousins  55ppg
C  Roy Hibbert       29ppg
Goran Dragic      35ppg
Total Points: 364 378
Average Points Per Game: 33.36 34.36

#8 (Kaminsky)     37ppg  (jk!!! let's go with 18ppg) Brandan Wright    21ppg
B  C.J. Miles        17ppg
B  Jose Calderon     16ppg
B  Justin Hamilton   8 ppg
B  <empty>

Mk
So Holiday (36fp) and Middleton (27fp) out... Dragic (31fp last year, but you project 35fp next year) and Hibbert (26fp last year, but you project 29fp next year) in.   Holiday being hurt last year hurt him.  Dragic is theoretically a safer bet next season.

He still has my 1st rounder next yearand a few more interesting picks to deal (17, 22, 30, etc).   He's closing the gap. Buick reports he's targeting Parsons and Noah with the late picks.

I think I was a little high on Hibberts 29ppg. Dragic's numbers were way down last season b/c of the messed up situation in PHO. He was close to 39ppg the season b4, so I slit the difference.

All those picks will certainly come in handy. I am sure he isn't done making deals.

I think people don't realize just how hard it is to have players average over 40ppg.

19 players did it last year.  Thats it.

Next year it will be 21.... Those ^^ 19 plus Anthony Bennett and Bismack Biyombo.  8)

And Nick Stauskas  8)

Sorry my count was wrong... it's 25 next year:

-- 19 from 2014-15
-- Paul George
-- Anthony Bennett
-- Bismack Biyombo
-- Nik Stauskas
-- Jrue Holiday*
-- Khris Middleton*

(* while LB33 peddles them....)

Does that mean I am going to get a response now?

_ _ _ _ _ _

I was starting to feel like I overpaid for Wes Matthews/Ryan Anderson.  more risk in that deal for me, but considering I turned 8 into those two, and 8 and 25 just went for Dragic, I guess I feel better about that one.  Though neither Wes nor Ryan have the 35+ ppg potential that Dragic does....

Didn't want to comment before the trade was announce but I gotta respond to some of the literally fantastic commentary:

Goran Dragic has been traded!!!

My money is on GC for the #8 pick, but this is not 'insider' info, just a total guess

Yes, believe r probably correct. Perhaps, Eja. Never count out LB from any trade.

My question is, did Birdman get good value?

Mk
I know for a fact that he could have gotten a pick in the 3-7 range for Dragic two weeks ago... so expect it to be more than just #8.

I explored trading #8 for Dragic back then and got turned down.  Dragic is 30 a years old PG and coming off a season averaging 31fp.   I decided I'd be better off gambling on 23 year old Jrue holiday (consistent 35-38fp PG).  Holiday has had two season of a recurring injury, but I think he'll be fine.

#8 for Dragic would mean Birdman blew his shot at getting a higher pick two weeks ago when he was offered it.

I almost feel like i need to go through this paragraph word-by-word -- Zapruder film style -- to capture its fantastic-ness:

I explored trading #8 for Dragic back then and got turned down. [...] I decided I'd be better off [...] #8 for Dragic would mean Birdman blew his shot ...

Which was it? You got turned down? Decided to go after Jrue instead? Birdman missed out on high pick?? or all... or none? I'm confused.

Dragic is 30 a years old PG ...

Actually... he turned 29 on May 6.... but close   ;D

...23 year old Jrue holiday....

Mr. Holiday turns 25.... drum roll please.... TOMORROW!!!!

For those keeping score at home that's a collective 3 years LB33 was off on Dragic/Holiday's ages.

Holiday has had two season of a recurring injury, but I think he'll be fine.

Mind the gap between what you say to GMs during trade negotiations (whether or not* they believe you) and what you say publicly.

Some GMs remember that stuff.... and will factor it in next time.  8)

(* spoiler: it was not in this case)

It would mean that Ubuntu decided to swap out Holiday for Dragic... which I guess is a safer bet considering HOliday's injury, but it's at most a sideways move.

If you want to look at the math that way it's cool, but that ignores (a) that I wouldn't have dealt Holiday for #8 alone and (b) the other pieces I picked up in our deal and subsequent deals that make the final equation a bit different that "Holiday for Dragic".

In all seriousness, it's all good I just bristle a bit at some of the logical stretches you throw around here sometime LB33....

I actually like the potential of the Chaz Buick flutter feed... used properly it provides some info on who's available or what some of the asking price is, etc.

But this feels like trolling of a couple GMs you've had run-ins with -- as does calling either "injury plagued"...

I'm quite clear just from reading y'all's spat here that Eja want's more than 17/22/30 for Parsons and I've got too much respect for Champkind to waste his time with Noah for late picks.

Is this stuff actually up on the website? That's bizarre (on several levels). I've had Noah talks just two people, and only one involved any picks or any real discourse.

I'll give you three guesses which GM it was.

Whoever was behind this needs to stop making up rumors involving me or my team to trump up your own trade value. That's dirty pool for a friendly league. Which, outside of a few regulars, feels less and less friendly every time I check this thread.

CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

What the heck are you doing making fantasy trade deals on the night you get engaged?!?  8)

My guess -  Gasol and/or Dragic are headed to Ubuntu land
. ;)

And GC's silence all but confirms it. Give us the dirty details. :P

For all I know, you're the one who wrote that bit about ChampKind and Eja trying to move Noah and Parsons for #22 and #30 so that maybe it would scare off others from offering more.  Those guys are worth much less imo.
